The New Inn

Staff we're excellent and very welcoming. Evening meal / food was of high standard. The room was clean had all basic facilities including a fridge. Wifi was OK, not the fastest, but done the job, incuding access to smart TV.

The hotel is close to a road where a lot of farm vehicles travel. There are ear plugs provided in the room, so although we didn't say anything, I think this has probably been raised as an issue before. Not much the hotel can do about it. That aside, I did sleep well without ear plugs and I'd say the other positive aspects of the hotel make up for it.

Simple but nice breakfast. Beautifully decorated, spacious room with lots of goodies that made it special. We would definitely return if in the area again.

The road noise from the junction the hotel is located on is significant (fortunately they hotel does provide free of charge in the room the little squashy ear buds that did obscure the noise and enable one to enjoy a full nights sleep having figured out the issue existed during the first night's stay.

Very nice rooms and the restaurant served excellent food by friendly staff .

No dislikes , only comment is it is on a fairly busy main road so traffic noise but that really didn’t bother us.

The room was recently renovated and the bed comfortable. The bathroom is tiny but the shower exceptional! Also, the staff were super friendly!

1. The Inn is located at the junction of two busy roads with traffic racing by through the night! There is no double glazing on the roadside window and so the noise is very loud. The hotel gives you earplugs but these only help marginally! In the extreme heat not having a window open isn’t an option which makes the problem much worse 2. Breakfast is a small continental breakfast with limited choice. Pastries were burnt and there weren’t enough for all guests. This seemed to be the only inn locally not offering a cooked breakfast too! 3. Pub food was okay but disappointing given that it is advertised as an Inn offering food with rooms…
