Smoke alarm went off at ~2.00 for no apparent reason 🤷‍♂️

Everything was as advertised and expected. Extra touches like bottle of water in the room were good. If you want a single room above a pub with your own bathroom ( but not en-suite ) in a quiet street at a reasonable cost then it fits the bill. Host was very friendly and helpful.

Nothing major.

It was clean Easy to found I had my own private bathroom and bathroom

That the door was broken on arrival

The location was about 10 minutes away from the town centre which was very convenient, plenty of shops nearby, including public transport. The staff were polite and helpful. Room clean.

Now this has more to do with the other guests than the hotel itself, but I think they should’ve had a disclaimer in on their site explaining they may have had local workers staying short term or long term, who knows? Either way, the other guests were extremely noisy. I understand the hotel is above a pub and that’s not the issue. It closes at 8 after all. But the guests were banging around the hallways until about 10.30 being very loud and rowdy. Slamming doors. Stomping around. And again, even this wasn’t the main issue although it was worth mentioning. I was woken up at 5.30 by one of these people singing as he, I’m assuming, got ready for work. Then again at 6.15. Then 6.30. The hallway echos. And the rooms are very close to each other so the noise travels well. Like I said it wasn’t necessary the hotels fault but based on my nights experience, perhaps bring a good pair of ear buds.
