Maison Caju - La Rochelle

Really great house. Location was great so close to everything. Very clean and comfortable. Valentine was really helpful, let us store our bags in the house before check in and booked shuttle to the airport.

The location was perfect. Close to the marinas, shops, and the old town. The host had created a really calm and welcoming central guest area and had provided a well equipped kitchen area

Nothing

We loved everything. From the welcome email when we first booked to the informative email before arrival we were informed & felt looked after. We didn't see the owners but it wasnt an issue as everything we needed to know was explained. The code was given to us before we arrived & as we entered we were impressed with the decor & kitchen area. Everything was provided for you if you wanted to cook. Eg. Oils/ salt & pepper. Our room.was great and we were lucky enough to get an upgrade. The suite was spacious, well thought out with the decor & clean. The private terrace was an added bonus and great to have a coffee on there in a morning. One thing that may need to add is a USB socket which would help. The hotel was really close (about a 3 min walk) to the port & restaurants. Excellently situated as away the busyness but close enough to enjoy the lovely port & town We enjoyed our stay that much we booked an extra night.

The location was excellent, very close to the beach and a short walk to the market. We really enjoyed the use of the kitchen for breakfast and sometimes dinner on an evening, it was great to have that facility. Valentine and Nicolas were so kind and helpful - felt like a home away from home.
