Glorious surroundings, quiet, spacious, warm, comfortable

Well equipped cottage in a quiet location, with washing machine and dishwasher. Dishwasher tablets, bed linen and towels all provided. As was a tea/coffee tray with very nice Border biscuits. The Hill of Tarvit Mansion (NTS) is worth a visit and the cottage is well placed for visiting St Andrews and the other Fife coastal villages and towns.

Only one bathroom, but we knew that in advance. There was a strong smell of heating oil coming from the Utility room. We resolved that by keeping the utility room door closed and the utility room window open. There could be an oil leak that needs attention.

We enjoyed our stay and facilities, location but especially the log fire. It was comfortable and we will be looking at more National trust cottages in the future
