Heidi and Mike’s home was great for a beachfront family getaway! Bbq on the patio, sipping a cocktail while your kids are playing in sand…perfection!! Heidi was excellent with communication and gracefully helped us through a situation we encountered during our trip. The home was well equipped with everything you need to cook meals for your family or take the bikes for a spin down to the pier and enjoy dinner on the water! We did not want to stay on the boardwalk. We were able to walk everywhere that we wanted to but we were away from everyone too. Each morning we sat out on the deck one day we saw the dolphins. Everything was perfect!

Mike and Heidi were wi Derrick hosts. They were very communicative leading up to our visit and very responsive answering any questions we had. Their house sits right on the beach and is the perfect for hosting families. The finding, kitchen, living room, and patio make the space so enjoyable and easy to hang out and enjoy all the beach and Southern California weather have to offer. Everything was so clean upon our arrival. The house is equipped with everything you need to enjoy the beach, including boogie boards and sand toys. Our family of 6 had an incredible stay and enjoyed all Newport Beach has to offer.

Incredible house and location, would recommend to anyone, the beach front is quiet and amazing, the sunset every night was beautiful, the property owners were great to deal with and the house is loaded with everything you need. I’d give it 10 stars if it was an option!

We LOVED our stay at this home. It was better then expected. The location was perfect for the kiddos, with no boardwalk in front of the place the kids were able to play in the sand anytime they wanted. The distance to the beach was much better/ closer then we’ve had in the past staying in Newport on the beach. The property manager was very communicative and quick to get back to us. HIGHLY recommend this home, we are already planning our next vacation here :)

We had a great trip. Loved that the property had bikes. We biked everywhere. It was nice not having the busy boardwalk in front. House was big and beds were comfy. AC is a big bonus! Communication with owner was easy. Our car did not fit in garage so that was a bit tricky. We are already booked to stay next summer :)

Staying here was wonderful! The house accommodated the six of us perfectly! We enjoyed Cornhole and frisbee on the beach and lots of bike rides. I also recommend renting a Duffy from electric boat rentals. Heidi was the best. The location is perfect and the house was very comfortable!

We had an amazing time at Newport Beach staying at this property. It was very modern with several upgrades throughout, well equipped with everything we needed to cook with, and right on the beach which is exactly what we wanted for our vacation. We would definitely rent this place again.

Heidi reached out to us after we booked and communicated with us, as needed. She is a wonderful Hostess! This property was perfect for our vacation and we loved the location as it was not on the busiest part of the beach. We sat on the beach front porch and enjoyed sitting on the beach, played volleyball, walked to the pier, and saw some beautiful sunsets! The house was clean and decorated nicely. The master bedroom bed was sooo comfortable. This unit has easy and great technology upgrades. We loved it and will be back!!!

Property was nicely prepared and ready upon checkin. Three generations of family staying there. Ranging from 1.5 year old to 65. The beach is right outside your back door. Plenty of beach toys for children of all ages. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. If you’re used to a more stocked kitchen as far as spices and cooking spray you won’t find that here. BBQ was nice and used. Hard to light but owner responded promptly and quickly lit after. Location was wonderful. Multiple parks within walking distance. Close to major roadways for stores and restaurants and coffee shops. Technology within the home was ok. Blinds and shades are easily controlled. The AV system proved difficult to use for multiple ppl during our stay. Although we knew what we were getting into with the stay with young children I don’t know if this place is best suited for young toddlers. A step between kitchen/dining and living room that blends in was worrisome. There is no pack and play at the property which we found odd as our multiple stays at other VRBOs have them as a standard feature. The garage is tight but our rented Mazda CX-9 fit with some rearranging of the bicycles. Unfortunately our stay was hampered by renovations to the upstairs unit. Floor replacement and demo for 3 outta 5 days there. And although the upstairs owner and contractor mentioned they made property owner aware we were not. Through our communication after our stay the dates of their starting were never shared but even with the possibility of it starting I’d hope that it at least be mentioned. But it was not. Overall the stay was fine to good. We enjoyed ourselves. Would expect a little more at that price point and that neighborhood.

We thoroughly enjoyed renting this property. The location is A+ and the amenities are really nice. Great beds, BBQ, and entertaining space. Owners were easy to deal with and responded quickly to any questions. We will rent it again!

Our stay was pleasant and our family had a really nice time in Newport. The location was awesome and loved the short distance to shops, and the pier. The house was not quite ready at check in, but we didn’t mind waiting a little longer. The house was clean and had the min things needed for your stay. My biggest concern and I expressed this was that after I booked and paid, I was asked for a second time the make up of my party. I was asked the second time for information about me and the rest of of family attending. My suggestion would be just to advertise that upfront that personal information will be asked like full names and home addresses. I can understand asking about me as the one signing the rental agreement but not my whole party. It made me feel uncomfortable. I was told it was to add special touches and to make sure it was a right fit. The wine and candy was a very nice touch, I think that could have still been done with knowledge of my minor kids names for example which I did not provide. It was interesting the neighbor even jokingly said you must of passed the CIA and FBI background checks because we were there. I can genuinely appreciate not wanting party goers but again I felt caught off guard and uncomfortable, just simply state that up front that personal information would be asked then as renters we can make a better informed decision. Thank you

My family of five loved staying here. The house itself has many amenities and the location is incredible - right on the beach but still very close to stores and a walk or short drive to the boardwalk. The patio right on the beach was fantastic. The owners were very responsive and the instructions for the house were easy to use. We will rent again when we are back in Newport!

We absolutely loved our time at West Newport. The property was as described and was perfect for our group. Heidi was so great to work and communicate with. She even helped us accommodate an earlier Arrival time due to a mid morning flight. We loved walking right out onto the beach. We also appreciated all of the amenities that were located on site for our use. It made our state very hassle free. We would definitely recommend this property at home to come back and stay here again soon!

A beach house with no bike road between you and the beach makes it feel like your private beach. The house is extremely well done, and the owners are extremely caring and communicate wonderfully. If we had to pick at anything, the main bed needs to be replaced. It has big dips and you can tell it’s past it’s lifespan. Outside of that, it was perfect. The area was calm, and is perfect for low key families looking for a memorable trip!
