Stayed in some lovely cottages in the Peak District but Acorn Cottage has to be top of the list. The owners must have put a lot of thought and effort into providing everything necessary for the perfect break. The location was excellent, being close enough to places such as Bakewell and Matlock, but in a quiet, rural area that made sitting in the sunny, private garden so peaceful. The extremely pleasant owners were close enough to be available if needed but were not at all intrusive. Special mention must be made of Jo's delicious home baked bread, which was waiting for us, together with fresh eggs, milk, tea and coffee, on our arrival. We hope to return to Acorn Cottage in the near future.
We wished we could have stayed longer!

We really liked the quiet and rural location yet being only 10 minutes from Matlock and central to many other parts of the Peak District

Schitterende ligging, veel dingen te zien en doen en hele vriendelijke mensen.
