Amber Lombok Beach Resort

The hotel is absolutely amazing, but the highlight was without a doubt the exceptional service. A massive thank you to Karim & Alan at the front desk. They are incredible people—extraordinarily kind, professional, and attentive. They take such pride in their work and truly brightened our entire stay! It was a genuine pleasure meeting them. The pool was lovely but feel its too small the the size of the resort and children were noisy shouting for hours a couple of days so not relaxing around the pool for other guests

This resort has everything and the staff, food and accommodation is excellent from arrival to departure! Andi at check in was wonderful and arranged a birthday surprise for my wife at breakfast which was fantastic. Nothing is a trouble.

The location maybe a little far from a village but transportation was available 24/7 at a reasonable rate.

We liked the aesthetics and layout of the hotel which is set on a beautiful beach. The pool was nice, although a little deep - you're not a tall person you will struggle to reach the bottom which is tricky when you're holding a small child - there is a ledge for kids which is shallow and ours had fun playing on that part. Breakfast and food was good, nothing to write home about but we enjoyed it enough. Wine list was small but good. Everything was reasonably priced.

Very inattentive staff in every part of the hotel. From check in, to dining, to cleaning, we had to ask for help multiple times for anything. I am not saying the staff were rude, they were always pleasant, but we constantly found ourselves standing or looking around for service, and having to nearly chase people to get a drink, a towel, order food, clean our room even. There was absolutely zero anticipation of needs. This was over a period of 6 days. I never once saw a staff member at the pool for service other than to deliver food then quickly retreat without looking up. Twice when we went out for the day we came back to find our room had still not been serviced in the late afternoon. This hotel has a lot of potential, it gives 'island time' a whole new meaning.
