Beautiful position with fabulous views
The room was large with a four poster bed, views to two sides and a wonderful bathroom and added extras like a coffee maker
The staff were lovely and very helpful.
Breakfast was great, I just had porridge with things added but the choice was good.
Dinner was good, typical pub grub but well cooked.
There was a jazz night when I was there and the atmosphere was great.
The only thing really was it was a bit noisy when others came to bed later at night … doors banging etc but didn’t notice the second night.

The room was spacious, clean and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and HUGE! In room drinks were plentiful.
The dinner was good, well presented and cooked especially for you so nice and hot and my husband enjoyed the amber ale!
Variety of basic full English breakfasts available including vegetarian options. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
There was a private function the evening we were there which was very noisy (they were having a great time) but I would have liked it to finish at 11pm not midnight to be more considerate to other guests as we couldn't get to sleep. This is stated on the booking.com site though so be aware.
The dinner was very 'British' with no rice options and the only pasta meal was vegetarian but we found good 'pub grub' to choose from.

Location beds were comfy nice food lovely staff
Broken toilet seat ,bathroom door didn't close Furniture marked and had its day,lacking electric sockets ,I was not informed to expect very loud party music until midnight. I had travelled to scatter my mums ashes and needed peaceful location. Distressing night due to excessive noise.
