We had a lovely time and really appreciated the flexibility of the host for letting us check in early! All the rooms were so comfortable and there were so many places to hang out in this house that it was perfect for our cozy, relaxing weekend. The house was beautiful and we would definitely come back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful pool and backyard! We had a few minor issues that definitely impacted our stay. We were hoping to use the hot tub but were ultimately unable to because something was off with the water (it was green and had an incredibly strong chemical/bleach smell). Our host was incredibly responsive in helping us try to solve the problem, but ultimately we didn't want to tinker with the chemicals to try and get it usable. If this could be checked on before hand, I think it would improve future guest stays! We had some issues with the thermostat as well, as it didn't seem to be working upstairs. It would be really cool in the downstairs, but the upstairs wouldn't go below 77 no matter how many times we reset the thermostat and turned the mode to AC. Ultimately we opened up all the windows and slept with them open but would have preferred not to have left those open overnight. And finally, it would have been helpful to have some cleaning supplies. There were no paper towels in any of the cabinets and none were provided, so it made cleaning up challenging at times.

This was the nicest place we have stayed since we started getting together years ago. We all were in nursing school together and have remained friends. We celebrated our 80 th birthdays this year. This place was just perfect. The owners thought of everything and it is just as it was described.
