Fully equipped, very clean and right in the heart of enjoying nature and the fall colors.

This is our second visit to Harkness Cabin. It’s a great location to sit, relax and enjoy the wildlife of the northern Michigan forest. We had everything we needed to prepare several large meals and sit comfortably on the deck and in the dining area with our guests. It’s close to Harbor Springs and Petoskey for a quick shopping trip through the quaint shops. We love this side of Burt Lake and will likely return. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was overall a positive stay, the location is great, it was very clean, however there were a few negatives; 1. Parking instructions for extra vehicles was not real clear. we parked an extra car in the turn around at the end of the road and were confronted by one of the association neighbors to move the vehicle. 2. The description says it sleeps 6, but the small bed in the loft was more like for 1 person, not 2. 3. We had a couple of bad weather days and wanted to watch TV, the tv package does not include many quality channels. 4. There were snakes on the dock daily. 5. It was somewhat difficult getting a boat into the dock area with the shallow water. The stuffed animals in the master bedroom were over the top. Bellow where the question asks would I recommend the property to a friend, the answer is yes but with an explanation of things they should be aware of.
