We had an amazing time at our rental! It was well equipped, clean, and in a perfect location walking distance to the water. The Sanctuary team made the home very inviting, and the customer service was responsive and excellent when we reserved. We’d love to stay again!

The house was in a great location. Easy to get to many locations. I would just add that there is a size limit for the off street parking space. Only smaller vehicles will fit, otherwise you will need to park on the limited street parking.

A great property in Pacific Grove. Really well located for local cafes and amenities, as well as a short drive to Carmel and the 17 Mile Drive. Also great for driving further afield to Big Sur. The property is in great condition, clean and with great additional features such as beach towels and toiletries. Thank you!

As described and in a chilled out location away from the very busy Fisherman’s Wharf area. Short walk to Lovers Point and a small park a block away. Property as described and felt like a home from home.

Family members enjoyed walking to the beach and town stores which were all within minutes. House very clean and comfortable for our group of five ages 40-58. Communication with management company was very prompt and professional. Great place to enjoy Monterey, PG and Pebble Beach!

We had a great stay here. The house was very clean and cozy. Super close to a nice beach with tide pools and a number of places to eat. Also easy access to the bike path- just a mile to the aquarium! My kids didn't want to leave.

From the moment we walked in to the house we were impressed. Soft music was playing and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and cheese and crackers! The house was sunny and bright, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Comfy beds and spacious showers were a plus! The house is a short walk to the beach at Lover’s Point. We will definitely return.

the stay was great...the communication with the property manager was great...the only surprise was an added charge that was disclosed at the end of the renting process. once was aware of it i could have cancelled but chose to stay with that property because of location... i will be more attentive next time. but i would give the stary it self 5 stars

Fortunate to find shelter in an idyllic setting during yet another atmospheric river. Even more fortunate to have one clear day to glimpse the full beauty of its surroundings— can’t wait to return when things dry out!

The property is really nice and clean. We had major construction noise next door all day. The manager of the property was very responsive to our issues and complained to the county. My only addition would be window coverings in the back bedroom so it is not so bright. Ideal location, very nice kitchen and bathrooms. Beds were quite comfortable. Without the construction issues (which are temporary) a great place to stay

From the start it felt like home. We arrived on a cold and rainy evening, found the home to be warm with music playing when we walked in. The home has been delightfully remodeled with up to date living. Plenty of space to relax. Walking distance to downtown PG and the water.
The reason I gave the neighborhood 4 stars is because a stranger walked up while we were unpacking the car and rudely told us we were parked wrong and could start a fire. He then said he knew the owner. The neighbor clearly doesn’t like the homes being rented.
Besides this experience, the stay was fantastic.

The house is in an ideal location in Pacific Grove: 1 block from Lover's Point and the oceanside walking trail, 2 blocks from downtown, 5 minutes from the weekly farmer's market, and a very short drive to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium, the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, 17-Mile Drive, Trader Joe's, etc. You'd be hard-pressed to find anything more perfectly situated.
The house, originally built circa1880, has been very nicely updated, with all mod cons, and has a clean, modern feel. It's well-stocked with plenty of bath soaps, trash bags, laundry soap, TP, etc. - clearly someone is thinking things through.
However, the house is small and comfortably accommodates no more than four adults (or two adults and three children). We were five adults, and at times it felt cramped. The allotted parking space is very, very tight - even a compact car would be a squeeze. And the kitchen isn't stocked for gourmet cooking, so plan to bring your own if you want to do a lot of cooking.

Surfs Up was exactly as photographed. The home was immaculately clean, cozy and comfortable. The beds were awesome and every amenity was covered. The bathrobes were so great that we drove to Carmel to visit Amie in hopes to buy some to take home. That was the only “miss”, that they don’t sell them. We couldn’t have found a nicer, more conveniently located, wonderful home to spend our week near Monterey.

We loved our stay at Surfs Up. This house was perfect for our family of 4 inc. 2 preschoolers. great location to the park, beach, and amazing pizza! Love the decor and modern feel. Had all of the amenities we needed and bonus wine and snacks!
I wish I can give this a 5 star but the tankless water heater kept going out, which is not ideal when you crave a hot shower after running 13.1 miles. Luckily, the property management firm is responsive both times! hope they consider replacing the system, bc we would LOVE to come stay again!

Located in central PG between Lighthouse drive and Lovers Point. Walkable to Asilomar, Aquarium, Lighthouse restaurants. Easy drive, ten minutes, yo some of the best golf in the world.

Fabulous
We loved our stay here. It was clean, comfortable, and up to date. Just a few minutes walk to lover’s point, which my husband and I walked to every morning. Also just a few minutes from pacific grove downtown. My kids had room to sprawl out, and we got a taste of living right in town for a few days. Really nice experience.

Perfect for our family! We felt like locals in this residential area of Pacific Grove super close to water as well as downtown Pacific Grove. We also were able to walk to Monterey for a nice nightly dinner or morning stroll along the waterfront. We loved all of the amenities and hope to come back!!

The key code we were given to unlock the doors did not work. After 3 phone calls and 1 hour of waiting in the cold at 9pm, we finally received a phone call with a code to enter the property. It seems the situation was never relayed back to the daytime shift, as they were surprised to hear of the issues when they called for a check-in later on.
One minor issue with the master bedroom: the blinds are taped to the window frames and a few of them kept falling off during the stay. But again, we certainly enjoyed our stay at this property.

Was a good fit for us for this Covid Christmas. Open, roomy, bright, airy, clean. Just the right amount of “stuff” to live here for five days. Space for outside visiting with non family members. Warm and cozy in the rain as well.
(Only the rugs could have used more cleaning)
