Not much - it was kid friendly

Horrible beds, lumpy pillows, very run down, smells like smoke even though it’s supposed to be a smoke free facility. No food available except vending machines, too far from town to walk to get something to eat, but if you have kids good luck finding a place to eat. Cripple Creek is the most unfriendly place for children. Most places can’t let them in because of the gambling, and if they do let them in, they don’t seat parties of more than 6! Very disappointing!

We stayed in room 237 and the heating unit didn’t work, called the front desks don’t hey never answered. So we stayed in the winter in a cold room with our son under a year old.

The location and view were great but the lack of vending machines and no food on location was pretty miserable. The food around town also was not up to par and made for a pretty miserable birthday trip. Would not stay in cripple creek again.

There were four adults (two female and two male) adults drinking Jameson and vaping in the pool. From what I could overhear it sounded like one of the women worked there. It made swimming extremely uncomfortable for me and my 6 year old so we left. No towels in the area must bring some from the room. Then maintenance came and turned on COLD water to put into the pool, mind you it was literally FREEZING outside. Overall a terrible experience especially for a birthday staycation and we wont be back to the town.

The water pressure wasn't great in the shower but the stay was overall good.

The guy at the front desk was overwhelmed but very nice. I felt bad for him. There were not enough rooms ready for the line of people waiting to check in at 4PM.

Be sure to know where you are staying. I was at the King Mountain Inn and it was pretty gross. There was blood on the wall, power socket, tub and shower curtain. The beds were not comfy and the heater below the window smelt bad and was very loud!! I wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel sits on top of the hill overlooking the city of Cripple Creek and the Ice Castles. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the hot tub was nice and hot.

The room was old and a musty smell permeated throughout the hotel. The lamp in our room between the two beds was missing a switch and was not working. The ice maker in the hotel was not working.

It was a convenient stay to reach our destination

Ice machine broken, smelled like bad BO through the hallways, no lighting in our room, all together a subpar experience. No breakfast. Which would be ok if the restaurants in town allowed children

Not much of anything. We don’t even stay both nights we had reserved. We left.

The property wasn’t clean or well managed. There wasn’t anyone on duty at the front desk and when the employee did show up, she was getting out of a car that was parked in the parking lot. Wonder what she was doing in the car?? No coffee available at the coffee bar. Floors were muddy - rugs saturated and wet. Guests were drinking and playing music and partying until 3:15am until another guest finally decided to complain to the guests making all the noise. No management on site whatsoever the entire stay.

Check in was at 4 pm, they had no rooms until 7pm leaving me and my family to wait outside with truck running in the snow and cold

I booked a room at this facility over the internet, I arrived and they tried to put me in the older nasty smelling hotel up on the hill, which was not clarified on the internet, so they agreed to place me in a room at the other Hotel, closer to the casino, the room had a view of the HVAC system. I left my charger in the room, out in the open, when I checked out. When I realized it the next day, I called to ask to see if house keeping placed it in their lost and found. Of course, it is no where to be found.

Rooms were decent for the price. Nice to have a fridge . Nice view of town.

The front desk person was wonderful and helpful.

When booking the hotel has 2 separate hotel names but also needs to say which one is connected to the hotel instead having to wait until they send you a message after you book so you have to cancel and rebook. PUT IT ON THE BOOKING PAGE!

The location was convenient to the Ice Castles, restaurants, and shops.

The check in was not good at all. We arrived at 3:30 for a 4:00 pm check in and were told it would be 30 min. to an hour before the room would be ready. Guests kept arriving and were told the same thing. We were finally allowed into our room at 5:20 p.m. I asked to be compensated for the late check in and the desk clerk, who was very nice, gave us a discount, which we appreciated.

We like the fact that they had a shuttle to downtown cripple Creek. Staff was very friendly and accommodating!

I find it incredible that you can’t even get a real cup of coffee in the lobby! That is really inexcusable because the coffee makers (?)they put in the rooms are just hot water and coffee tea type bags. UGG!!! I also don’t like the fact that you can’t choose a room that hasn’t been occupied by pets. Our room smelled heavily of dogs, and there was dog hair in the room.

address on booking was a sister hotel which was nicer than this one. We asked to move and pay any extra which was refused by the staff because we had booked through a third party. It has to be that although the staff said both locations were same company clearly they were not.

The price was outrageous. For what they charged, $320 per night, I expected a hell of a lot more. No continental breakfast, not even coffee. The room was very small. Wasn't anything like what was portrayed on their website. It actually ruined my weekend after we got there, and I saw what we got for very our very hard earned money. Price gouging, absolutely!!!!! NO WAY WOULD I EVER GO BACK...

Decor

My reservation was change from 2 queens to a king. We had to buy a air mattress for my daughter to sleep on. That barely fit in the room. No pillows to be found but one. The shower was dirty with hair, the sink facuet came off. $308 for a small dirty room with cute decor. My husband was so excited to explore the history of the town and the hotel experience ruined this for us. We couldn't wait to leave. If every room for 30 miles was booked (trust me I called over 20 hotels/motels, we never would have stayed here. Waste of money

Booked the wildwood hotel an casino but when i arrived they said my reservation was was not at this hotel even though my confirmation email stated I was booked at this hotel for the night. The front desk had now idea what happen to my reservation as he said they were over booked then when I showed him my reservation confirmation he still had trouble finding my reservation. Which seem odd to me while he was dealing with other issues with others guest due to a needle being found in a room an the elevator not work as well as other guest were locked out of the room. So I waited as he addressed over issues even tho I was there before hand. Then he made a call to his manager and all of a sudden I was placed in the quote "sister hotel" which was up the road which is not anywhere near as nice as the one I booked as my wife an I showed up the manager was there waiting on the phone with the front desk guy from the wildwood hotel an having him let other people who's reservation he apparently couldn't find be booked at the wildwood hotel. So idk if me an my wife were screend or didn't seem to look the part "white" or of a "higher class " because everyone at this so called "sister hotel" we all seem to not fit what the wildwood hotel perfers. Totally disappointed I won't be back rather spend my mom at Blackhawk at the Ameristar or the Monarch. The room at the sister hotel king Court or whatever looked unclean the bathroom felt dirty my wife didn't even wanna shower in the bathroom just a total overall horrible experience!!!!!
