Quaint Historic Building Well appointed room

It was cozy and superb stay as we just quickly booked on same day but on Check In Ms.Alley was amazing super girl who helped us fir everything .

Ms.Alley and Mr.Alex both were amazing staff.

We loved everything; - staff very friendly and super helpful - breakfast was great - location was beautiful and right on the river and overlooking fields - room was comfortable and a lovely new bathroom.

Would have loved a mirror in the bedroom as I was attending a wedding, but loved everything else.

Lovely room, gorgeous location. Staff were really nice and helpful. Didn't stay long enough to take a bath but the tub looked great.

The location is perfect and the room was big and comfortable. The food was really good, both dinner and breakfast. The staff is really attentive!

If I was being really fussy - Would have liked a box of tissues in the room. The small kettle was broken and leaking badly.

Perfect location next to the river Windrush and between the villages of Great and Little Barrington. The staff simply make this place. Without them it would be lovely. With them it’s wonderful. We were given a charming welcome by Luke on arrival who showed us to our rooms. Slight problem with a nice room but too close to the kitchen and the restaurant generator for a light sleeper. We were changed without a fuss. Andrea was charming. Lovely dinner in a great atmosphere. Our second dinner was presided over by Natalie who made sure that a birthday in our group was celebrated with a chocolate Happy Birthday iced on the plate. Breakfast was good and in a very nice dining room overlooking the river. Spotless rooms. Vicky was lovely and really looked after us.

It might be a little noisy if you are in any of the rooms above the bar & kitchen. we visited in winter and it was peaceful and pleasant.

The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with a great view. The food was amazing at breakfast and the venison for an evening meal was fabulous. Great location.

All staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was so cosy and cute. The bathroom was one of the cleanest and nicest bathrooms I have ever experienced and the food was really tasty!

Incredibly welcoming and helpful staff!! Our room (Upton) was really lovely with a very comfortable bed and a terrace overlooking the river which would be perfect on a summer evening. We only had bar-snack lunch and breakfast but they were both brilliant and the main restaurant menu looked great.

This is a lovely relaxed place. The room was excellent and it was so peaceful. The food was very good and we had no problems at all. The staff are wonderful. We’d go back in a heartbeat and probably sooner rather than later.

The location, the feel, the stunning room - we were in the Windrush, the exemplary staff, delicious breakfast and meals. The property is a unique and stunning place and we highly recommend.

The staff were highly attentive.

The location for a Cotswolds visit was perfect and quaint. The staff bent over backwards to make our stay absolutely lovely. They freshened the room everyday whether we needed it done or not. Bathroom was very modern. The food was amazing, made to order, and served in the restaurant or take away to your room. Dinner starts at 6, but as we were starving and jetlagged, they served us early! We were the only ones in the restaurant! We would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

There is a pub on the premises and outdoor tables near the rooms so it could be a bit noisy, especially on the weekend, but we turned on our white noise phone apps and slept with no problems.

What was meant to be a little country retreat from the busy tourist spots turned into more a nightmare. We didn't get the room we booked despite messages confirming all was in order. The room allocated had a dreadful foul gas like smell and as it was hot we opened the windows, that overlooked a fibreglass roof rather than the river & garden we had booked, which only made the smell worse. Both things were mentioned to the duty manager who didn't seem interested sadly. A fan was requested and we were told none were available. Thankfully one was found. The internet was poor and was told they'd never had a problem before 🤷‍♀️ We were booked for 2 nights but after waking with a headache due to the foul smell we left the first morning. Booking.com were blamed for the issue with the room booked differing from the one allocated 🤷‍♀️ First time I've ever had this problem and always use this booking platform. Also prior warning about the lack of evening meals on the days we had booked would have been helpful.
