After a long and exhausting journey, my 2 children and I were quite relieved to arrive to such a clean and comfortable home. Access was a breeze and I appreciated that so much as we arrived very late into the evening. We found most everything we would need for or stay was provided. There is plenty of room to unpack your things in clean empty closets and space for your pantry items in cupboards. We particularly enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table in the mornings and watching the birds and other wildlife visiting the bird feeder. The kids enjoyed exploring and running around in the big yard where they searched for exotic tiny creatures. They looked forward to eating fresh raspberries from the vine daily. I appreciate that the area is a bit revitalized these days with a quaint general store, well appointed marine store, restaurant and iconic bar Clyde’s; all open for business and warmly welcoming visitors. Our host Lori was also very welcoming and we communicated easily. She checked in to see if we needed anything about once a week (we stayed for 4 wonderful weeks) which attests to her genuine concern that her guests are happy and content. We absolutely plan on staying here again. Thank you for providing a lovely home away from home for my family, Lori! Until next time… cheers.

My daughter and i had such a fun trip. The house was perfect, and so close to everywhere we wanted to go!

They place was away from the crowds but close enough to get to the places we wanted to go.. I loved watching all the birds and critters out my window. Didn't make a fire outside to sit but could have. I could go back there the next time I am in the area.

What a lovely 3 days was spent at this house! It's woodsy location is perfect for those wanting some privacy. Upon arriving we discovered a lovely welcome gift waiting for us. The house was very clean & cozy feeling with clear instructions for checking in/out. Highly recommend staying here!

Great place to call home for a few days! Excellent location, walked the beaches of 3 Great Lakes. Very spacious and clean, both inside and out. Very quiet, feels like you are nestled away in the woods instead of a neighborhood. Will definitely stay again.

My sister and I had a long weekend. House was perfect. Quick drive to Mackinaw City and then on to the island. We had the best time. We’ll be back again. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We stayed here last summer and thought it was a great location so we booked the same location again. Only 10 minutes to the ferry and had everything we needed. Beautiful weather and had a wonderful time!

This was the perfect place to spend a few days “up north” to close out the summer. The house had everything we needed to relax and was close to everything we wanted to do. We enjoyed picking fresh raspberries to eat each morning and watching the squirrels and birds out of the dining room window. We spent time kayaking on nearby Carp Lake —which was much bigger than we expected! The house is nestled back in a quiet, little area that gave us privacy and the peace we were looking for.

Beautiful & welcoming home. Was the perfect location for our needs. Great host! Can't wait to stay next year.

Everything we needed was provided in this cozy home, including some fire wood for the fire pit! House was wonderfully decorated and comfortable. Being bike riders, we found this location was so close to the bike path which we took to Mackinac City to catch the ferry to mackinaw Island. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

We rented this house for a few nights for a family wedding at the Dark Sky Park. It was a great location to the park as well as other places we needed to be. Mac City, Indian River,. We did not spend a lot of time at the house but it worked great for us! The place was SO clean and tidy! Also, the different kinds of birds that showed up at the bird feeder were amazing!

We really enjoyed staying here! This is a charming, clean, well maintained, updated and lovely home away from home. It has all the modern conveniences, and we appreciated the beautiful yard & all the thoughtful and functional touches. Having internet allowed us to upload our pictures from the day’s adventures. The well outfitted kitchen, comfortable beds, relaxing shower, and local information contributed to our enjoyment. We loved seeing the local birds dine on the bird feeder just outside the window but did not get a chance to enjoy the firepit. We explored Paradise/Carp Lake, Wilderness State Park, Mackinaw City, and rode bikes around Mackinaw Island. After a full day we fell asleep before stepping out to see the Milky Way. The local corner store has a good assortment and yummy local ice cream. Hopefully we will return to this cottage and continue our exploration.

We loved the country setting and privacy. We were very comfortable with the house( just like home). As we moved along in out travels there was no comparison. We will tell others about this house to stay if they travel to the Michigan area---very satisfied.

This property absolutely deserves a second look. This home is very clean and fully equipped for a visit. The 'spa-style' bathroom has been completely updated and appears brand new. The location is tucked away in the woods in a friendly community with a nearby restaurant. The location is remarkably close to everything in the 'tip of the mitten'. The property manager is attentive to any questions, but also respectful of privacy. We had zero issues and loved our visit. Such a lovely piece of paradise in the woods. We stayed in the fall, which was a gorgeous time of the year, but this place would be perfect in any season. Would definitely stay here again.

The place was as described in vrbo app. Back door knob was a little tricky to use. But got used to it. House and property was clean and neat. Very quiet neighborhood.

Clean home, well supplied, just enough privacy on the property without feeling totally isolated, easy access to the highway, the Mackinaw bridge and many other attractions.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage, Lori was so quick to answer any questions we had not to mention so helpful with finding things to do locally!!
