Everything was great - I didn't expect a fridge or kettle but there you have them. Wifi was fast with no disruptions. It takes 3 minutes to walk to the train station.
Towels could be a little thicker but that's not a big deal compared to every other good things.

Familiengeführtes Hotel mit Restaurant. Hotel einfach aber vollkommen ausreichend und zudem sehr sauber und gepflegt. Pizza aus dem Restaurant auch sehr lecker. Eigener Stellplatz im Hinterhof mit Nachtschranke.
Nett empfangen worden, Check-In und Check-Out unkompliziert. Würde jederzeit wiederkommen!
Ein paar Gläser, Teller oder Besteck wären gut gewesen in der kleinen Küchenzeile, das ist aber auch alles!

Clean and recently renovated, very quiet at night.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the food was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for these people. Would definitely recommend.

It was perfect for our short stay. Very generous staff and comfortable rooms and beds. What more could you want?! The price was also very fair. There is a nice breakfast place next door, and you are close to the train station and the rest of the town's attractions.

Location was alright. Surroundings were close to train station, shops and specially walking parks towards the small river which were wonderful. We couldn't make it to the Höhentwiel due to tiredness that time.
Upon arrival, the owner asked for the payment. I would like to see the room first, I replied. He snapped that since he is having a break, I should return for the payment soon as possible. That felt wierd as a welcome to clients!

The hotel is well located within walking distance of the train station, and best suits a brief, no-frills stay. The rooms are newly decorated and look reasonably clean. There was a powerful fan, which helped cool down the room on a hot summer night.
Compared to other hotels I stayed in the area, it seems overpriced for what feels more like a hostel (cheap, non-ironed bed linen and scratchy towels, no shower toiletries, tissue paper or sanitary bags), without even a single complimentary water bottle in the noisy fridge, nor a vending machine as an alternative! Service is as odd as the booking process, and COVID-19 safety protocol seems doubtful, as some key staff I interacted with didn’t even wear a mask. My room didn’t seem safe to sleep with an open window as accessible via a garage roof.
