Our experience at Castello di Volognano was absolutely magical! The bedrooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained, the garden, pool, and surrounding areas are stunning as well.
The location of the castle is wonderful, beautiful views from every room and the neighborhood is quiet and serene. Florence is also only a short drive away.
The staff was very communicative and helpful before and during our stay. We arranged a tour and wine tasting with lunch while staying in the castle, the wine and food were both delicious! Overall, a memorable experience that we highly recommend.
We enjoyed everything, no complaints.

Everything about our seven day holiday at the castle was coordinated perfectly by Iacopo. He is a friendly and amazing person who responds quickly to all inquiries and requests. We had a private chef (Silvia), private driver (Erika) and private tour guide (Chiara). Obviously, these were all additional services at an additional cost--but well worth it. All were exceptional and all were always on time with perfect service. The castle itself was beautiful. The castle is located about 12km from Florence and can handle many, many people. We only had 5 people and each had their own bathrooms/showers. Bathrooms were all updated and bedrooms were all a good size. We enjoyed two bedrooms on the second floor and another couple had the entire third floor. Living room, dining room, kitchen, family room with large tv (only 2 U.S. channels). The castle is well equipped with all of the plates, utensils and stainless appliances you could ever want. Grounds were in perfect shape. Take the wine tour and enjoy the wine from the castle's own vineyard--try the table wine too. A little too early in the season to enjoy the pool, but it was inviting. Nothing but praise here.
While far from any type of complaint, from a United States perspective, the mattresses were a bit firm for our liking, but they were more than adequate. it was all great.
