Stepono apartments

The studio is large & bright with a big balcony. The bed is comfortable & the shower is good. Great location near the market, station & old town. Because the studio is located in a courtyard behind the street, it’s very quiet. We felt at home in the studio. It’s in a nice neighbourhood.

There were a few glitches. The kitchen tap leaks at its base. There is a drying rack for dishes but no tray to sit it in, so water runs down the worktop. No cleaning cloths were provided, just a small washing-up sponge & a single tea towel. The light above the hob wasn’t working. There was only one breakfast bowl. Socks from a previous guest were left in a drawer. We reported the problems and the staff were quite helpful but not very friendly. The studio has a lot of potential but maintenance needs improving. We enjoyed our stay, but the quality didn’t match the price.

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner is lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is perfect, quiet but super close to everything. The apartment had everything necessary.

The light in the room is beautiful, but despite their efforts to make it possible to block it out, we kept waking up early because there were no shutters and the curtains weren’t enough.

Close to train station and old town. Good facilities would recommend.

The apartment has a comfortable size. The location is close to the city centre and the bus and railway stations The area is quiet and there is no noise at night. Very good to sleep well.

The morning of the arrival the person in charge offered early check in but for a fee. We informed her that our arrival time could be around 14h00 but that we will wait to arrive at 15h00 (the stipulated check in time). Surprisingly, on arrival at 15h00 the room was not ready (after been offered an early check in for a fee). The comment from the person in charge was that the person doing the cleaning was sick. However, we will never be informed about it before the arrival. We had to come back 30 minutes later and the room was still been cleaned. I have serious doubts about the cleaning person not feeling well. I had a similar situation in the past in Poland, and the reason was even more bizarre, the cleaning person has had an accident. I do not think it is worth this behaviour because it gives you a bad impression and a lack of trust from the very beginning. After payment by credit card, the person in charge never provided or offered a VAT receipt.
