Hotel Astoria

Lovely hotel, and well decorated. Clean and tidy. Rooms were clean and tidy, bed was extremely comfy. The free items in the fridge were an added bonus. Continental breakfast was nice.

Room felt a little on the small side. The shower itself was quite small compared to what we are used to.

The staff saved the day when I left my passport behind in the safe!

I’m a solo traveler, so the room I was assigned to although on the 6th floor had no view due to balusters blocking the view and the window was very high at that. Otherwise the view in that direction would have been great.

Loved everything, clean rooms, great care for guests and delicious breakfast.

We loved everything

Stayed here because hotel was close to train station and had good reviews. Took train from Turin to Genoa. (Tip-- both of those cities have multiple stations. Double check your ticket!) Everyone from reception desk to breakfast room to housekeeping was helpful. Daily assistance with directions. Average 15-20 minute walk to major sites. Nice variety at breakfast. Local restaurant suggestions were appreciated. Favorite meal at Zeffirino. Stayed in #610 superior double. Quiet corner room. Did not hear any street noise. Comfortable bed and pillow.

While room matched most of hotel website photos, bathroom did not. Room was spacious with plenty of storage but bathroom very small. Size made worse because door opened into bathroom. Necessary to stand in shower when opening and closing door! Hotel can't change bathroom size but please change that door! Air conditioner problem first day. Promptly fixed and comfortable temperature following days. Another maintenance issue involved cabinet containing refrigerator. Door fell off hinges.
