Fantastic location of the hotel in the middle of a local village at the beach. Perfect host with the warmest welcome you can imagine and the way every single staff members treat you makes you feel king and queen. Amazing white beach in front of you with the magical sound of the waves of the Indian Ocean makes it a paradise and a must-stay when you are on the beautiful island of Zanzibar
Nothing to mention here, it was just unforgettable!

The rooms were clean and had a beautiful sea view & view of the sunrise over the ocean. The staff was amazing, Kassia and Pawel were incredible hosts and everyone did their best to help us with any requests we had, we felt very welcome. Interesting place to stay to get an insight into local Zanzibar life.
Close to fish market and wasn’t clean outside and we couldn’t swim because of low tide and sea urchins

close to the beach, friendly staff
Food too expensive, water from tap is always very salty

The guest was very helpful and gave a lot of valuable information about trips. It was really appreciated!
There are nice restaurants around the resort specially that on the rock!:)
The location is not suitable for someone that loves to stay on the beach. In the back of hotel there is a village of people and in front of hotel all day there are fisherman's and kids. So, there is not so much privacy.
For a proper place to stay at the sun you must walk a considerable distance and find a resort with sunbeds...
Also during day the water is not proper for swimming, because of the refluxes. But interesting for that who are looking for different kind of activities.

The staff and owner are incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. I was traveling alone, and I really felt taken care of. The property is extremely clean and the grounds are lovely. It is right off the beach. The restaurant is very nice and the food is amazing. I have the tuna ceviche and thank me later! The rooms are nicely appointed. It is the perfect place for the two Rs - rest and relaxation. A great place to solo travel, or with your favorite someone. Go dolphin, chasing, snorkeling, eat sea to table seafood, and just chill. I will definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it.
I would’ve love the AC to be a little colder, but the staff was kind enough to bring me a fan so it all worked out.

Hotel staff is very attentive to their guests and do everything your trip to be unforgettable. Location is very beautiful but ocean depends on tides and the moon, so don’t forget to upload TIDE application to plan your swimming days. Food in the restaurant is fresh and tasty.
Road from highway to the hotel is not good but you just need to be ready for that as this is an issue of the country and not of the hotel.

Great place to relax! The owners are very nice and helpful and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived! Great local food in the restaurant!

Kasia & Pawel were excellent hosts. They went out of their way to accommodate us last minute. The view from the restaurant upstairs was amazing and the small play area for the kids was prefect to keep them busy while we enjoyed the view. The fish market next door was a site in itself and would have been worth driving an hour to see. So many different species being sold as the fisherman arrived to the shore in front of the hotel. The local children playing soccer on the beach and so many restaurants within walking distance. Snorkel trips can be booked to Memba island that leave from the beach which you can easily see from the hotel.

The hosts/owner are extremely helpful and friendly and gave us personalized service at request (e.g. helped us to find soap, allowed us to stay longer on check-out day for our convenience). We feel very much home staying there, and really enjoyed the cozy local vibe at the place. Beautiful view to the beach and the sea.
Nothing.

If you are looking for a huge, anonymous all inclusive type resort, don't stay here!
Kasia runs a clean, friendly, welcoming, family-feel hotel which just feels like home from home. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the food delicious and the people are so kind and warm. The small pool was perfect and we spent lots of time in it. For a change of scene, we went to the beach, a full 5 metres walk away!
Kasia invested a lot of time to make sure we could visit various parts of the island, we got to swim with turtles, try the markets of Stone Town, see the monkeys in the forest and visit other beaches on the island.
She and Paul are wonderful, gentle, generous people who do a lot to support the people of the local fishing village and surrounding areas.
Of all the places we have stayed on holiday, this is the only place my boys cried when they had to say goodbye. That says it all really. Come and stay here, you won't regret it.
Last thing - not a single mosquito bite all holiday, and they normally feast on me!
The infrastructure of Zanzibar is still developing.

First I have to thank Kasha and Paul. both were unreal. everything was clean and fragrant. room restaurant or food. I was surprised that there were no mosquitoes. the internet was missing in the room, but the internet connection was very fast in the restaurant. I recommend coming by car. Drive around the whole island. it is a good point for trips and attractions in the area.
i had to leave this place. hope I will get a chance to come back there again.

Will be very nice for those who prefers silent place
A lot of sea aches, but it’s not about hotel, just need to be careful about swimming in the ocean

Nice food, healthy breakfast and enough possibilities for vegetarians. Non-vegetarians will love the fresh fish, directly from the market on the beach in front of hotel. Beautiful location, next to the beach. Very warm and welcoming service. I would definitely recommend this place!

On arrival, the owners welcomed us like we were family. Kasha is a unique person, very kind and gentle who helped us in all the activities we did (even if not booked via them). Always available! The hotel is beautifully situated on the beach, family sized, fantastic terrace for socializing, drinks and food, It fits perfectly in the contest and in this way the service is terrific. It's in front of the sea with great view. Rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and always clean. We have been eating in the hotel because also the kitchen is very nice. Can I recomend it? yes of course, 100%. Kasha, thanks again for your support, we had a fantastic stay!

- The property is on Matamwe beach, easily the best and cleanest beach in Zanzibar with sand like flour powder
- the direct beach access where one can walk bear foot for hours
- its a cosy place chill place like a mansion converted to a boutique hotel - even though its often fully occupied its very quiet
- owners Paul & Kasia are very warm and hands on and accommodating so they create a real comfort zone for you very quickly
- restaurant is fantastic, even after we tried several hotels around the island this place still ranks top for continental/localised seafood dishes
- breakfast awesome (especially pancakes)
- great place to starting point/ base for a vacation in Zanzibar especially if you don’t know really have a place
- direct view and access to Mnemba island for the dolphin swimming rides
- please beware most hotels in Zanzibar dont have the best road access from the main rd, expect a bumpy rd for the last km. This is an issue in Matamwe, Nungwe, Kendwa and Panje, so basically everywhere except Stone town.
