Location right on the quay at Appledore. Easy parking outside. Small but very nice room cleverly organised and with proper coffee machine.
Impersonal- no person to meet and greet and if we had had breakfast it would have been in the main hotel a fairly long walk away. Pricey considering it was only a bed ( no breakfast- w stool our own) ). The ‘parent’ hotel - the Royal George where we had dinner - provided excellent fish n chips but again pricey. Staff Murray and Alice were swift, patient and helpful.

Great location. Numerous nice eating places nearby. Spacious rooms. Great views.
We would have liked a small food prep area. The rooms we had were spacious enough to incorporate a small food prep area with a microwave and a couple of plates and bowls etc.

No room service
Not enough towels
Not enough loo rolls
Confusing breakfast with lots of ‘extras’ to pay for even though had paid for breakfast
