Base Lausanne - Contactless Check in

Great facilities with well-equipped kitchen, comfortable, spacious, modern, very clean, good location.

We were charged twice for our stay, first through booking.com beforehand, and then a second time by the property directly when arriving at the start of the stay - the check-in panel asked us to pay (there are no staff), even though we already had, but I did not realise their error so paid it then too with my card. I only realised we had paid twice after I returned to the UK (it seems that it would not have been noticed otherwise?), they responded quickly to me over the phone (from the UK) and refunded the payment, but they did not want to refund the additional international bank payment fees, so I did lose money because of their error. Check-out process is also a bit harsh, because there are no staff, the check-in/check-out panel blocks you from doing anything if you are slightly late.

Close to train station, great size, clean, everything you need.

Nothing I can think of.

Quiet location and convenient to Train/Bus/Metro -- 1-5 min walk, nearby to grocery store (Coop) about 5 min walk and other shops and bakeries/cafes. Laundry in building -- free to use.

Good location. Clean rooms

Staff not responsive; reported a broken light bulb, did not get answer
