Villa Mediterranea

Villa Mediterranea was one of the highlights of our trip, and our experience was excellent from beginning to end. Communication was great even before our arrival. We were welcomed at the parking area, only about a 3–4 minute walk from the property – an excellent arrangement considering the location in Bol. From the beginning, Mel, one of the hosts, made us feel genuinely welcome. His warm communication, attention to small details, and even the effort to remember guests’ names made the stay feel very personal. While walking with us from the parking area, he also gave us useful local recommendations on where to eat and which places he would personally avoid. The location was almost perfect for us. The beach is only a 1–2 minute walk away and the parking is conveniently close. There is a swimming pool with sun loungers, while our room had everything we needed: air conditioning, a refrigerator, a balcony with a table and chairs, and a clothes drying rack. The room was cleaned every day. Breakfast deserves a special mention. The hosts prepared it fresh every morning, with something a little different each day. The homemade pastries and everything else they served were wonderful. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Even the other guests were always friendly, smiling and greeting each other, adding to the welcoming feeling of the place. What really exceeded our expectations happened on our last day. Mel came to say goodbye and gave us homemade banana bread as a gift. It was carefully wrapped, still warm and absolutely delicious when we ate it while waiting for the ferry. He even remembered our next destination and later messaged us to ask if we had arrived safely. That genuine hospitality is something we will remember.

If we had to find a negative, it would simply be that we did not spend enough time on Brač and at Villa Mediterranea.

The location of the property is ideal. Located both close to the wharf/restaurants as well as the famous Zlatni Rat Beach. The property is well maintained and the manager was very friendly & helpful.

Superb location, close to Bol and Golden Horn, wonderful breakfast with tons of delicious pastries, the pool was very clean, water slightly warmer than the sea, staff was extremely pleasant.

- Mattress could be better. I wasn’t crazy about the basic spring mattress - There were small ants EVERYWHERE, on the walls, in the closet, clothes, underwear. Luckily they were not the bitey kind, but there should be some way to keep them out of the house. - would be nice to have a privacy screen between the terraces, not just a short wall

We really loved our stay. Starting from the first moment and the welcome by host, then the luggage pick up by hotel’s staff and welcome drinks. The location is just perfect, very close to all you need, but again extremely peaceful and calm. The beach and restaurants/bars are right in front, amd we had a great walk through the promenade all along. Breakfast is so good, we ate way too much, we just couldn’t stop. Rooms are very clean, beds very comfortable, view from the room was gorgeous…

All was top notch really.
