South Bay By The Gulf is a community of townhouses, and there is a community of snowbirds that come every year too. So staying here felt like you were the new neighbors getting welcomed in. It was nice to have such a short walk to the beach. The tennis, pickleball, and shuffle board courts got resurfaced while we were here. Look like new now! Pretty convenient location to restaurants, groceries, shopping.

The townhome was roomy and literally steps away from the ocean. It was located near everything. It was in a great location and worth the price. I will be renting this townhome again.

We really got to know the property after a few days. Our unit was literally about a 25 second walk to the beach. I hadn't realized how important that was. We constantly went back and forth to/from the beach. I can't imagine having to drive to the beach or use public access. I caught a 30 inch red drum at night surf fishing, called the kids and they were at the beach under a minute later. We had bikes and electric scooters and could get to many shops and restaurants from from our unit. The unit itself was updated and clean. The overall complex is older, yet well-kept...and did I say it was a 25 second walk to the beach :). Great experience. Nice people there. We would definitely go back, and probably will!

This was our first time visiting the area and we couldn't have asked for a better location to stay at! Steps to the private beach and such a wonderful home! My family and I enjoyed it so much we are already discussing a return trip next year!

We had a wonderful stay. From the moment we opened the door we felt right at home. It was very minimalistic, yet had everything we needed. I feel like some rental properties are over cluttered and that was absolutely not the case here. We will definitely be back.

The Dolphin Watch didn't disappoint. We saw two the first night!
Our townhome was just perfect. Cozy, cool, and comfortable. Close to the beach too! We had everything we needed to enjoy a week with the grandkids! Our golden doodle and poodle were happy campers too!

We had the best time staying at this property, it was fully stocked and ready for us when we arrived! Easy to in, and STEPS from the beach! We saw dolphins everyday on the beach! We loved our stay and highly recommend!

The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. The proximity to the beach and pool was perfect. We had older kids that could easily walk to the beach on their own. We also had plenty of beach toys and chairs to use. We would definitely stay here again.

The photos are dated in the listing, but it’s recently remodeled for the better. The space was very clean and updated. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the beach which was incredible — daily umbrella/chair service is included, too.
The kitchen is tight, but has everything you need, including a waffle maker, to cook meals. Just be sure to bring cooking basics like oil, salt, and pepper.
Loved the Pac Man arcade game upstairs. We played that a lot during down time!
The only thing we could’ve used more of were towels. We were pushing it with 8 people and were constantly washing bath and kitchen towels to use.
Overall an excellent, easy stay that made our vacation a breeze and full of relaxation. Would 100% book again.

The listing pictures are not what the unit actually looks like, there’s no blue/white accent wall, no fireplace and second refrigerator. The toilet seat in the master bathroom does not stay up. The outdoor patio area has a lot of debris on it, but what makes it worse is there isn’t a rug inside to wipe your feet so the floor gets really dirty inside. There are a couple of dangerous issues (could be a liability issue), first, there’s a lip at the bottom of the sliding glass door that has to be stepped over (almost took a fall going out the door). Second, if you bring pets, just know there isn’t a carpeted runner going up the stairs, they’re very slick… not dog friendly.
The positive notes are that it’s so close to the beach, the location is great and fully equipped… just bring your own K-Cups for the Keurig. The beds are really comfortable, at least to my liking.

The location is great & the place was clean, but the pictures & descriptions in this listing are old - the building exterior is grey, for example (not green). The property has been sold to new owners & the interior was sparsely decorated (apparently due to painting the unit recently). No pictures on walls, no curtains, no rugs, different lighting in every room. The stairs inside the unit were painted with no covering over the nails, be careful! There was no 2nd fridge like in the pictures, no fireplace, no umbrella for the back deck. The freezer door pull broke off as soon as we entered (previously glued). We paid a lot for a cozy space that would feel like a home away from home, but it felt much like a dorm room. The management company gifted us sunset dolphin cruise passes due to our “issues” , which was nice but I still feel like we were duped & should have gotten a partial refund.

Great Location
We loved the location and how close we were to the beach! We could easily walk out the back door and be on the sand with a short 1 minute walk. The accommodations were great and the new owners have been in the process of making some much needed updates. The kitchen and laundry were so convenient to have. Plenty of space for our family of 4, and could easily accommodate 2-3 more.
