Lovely little cottage with excellent amenities and very close to the town centre i.e. walkable (although uphill). Check in process was very smooth and our host Kirsty was friendly and welcoming. This cottage is probably not suitable for anyone with mobility issues because the two flights of stairs are very steep and narrow, it took several attempts to get our bags up & down and we are fit and healthy! We very much appreciated the welcome basket and used almost everything in it.

We enjoyed our stay at Blenheim Cottage overall, and the property has a great deal of potential. As someone who works as a consumer consultant for a local holiday let, I wanted to share a few observations that could help enhance the experience for future guests. Areas for improvement Welcome pack: This was the first holiday property I have stayed in that did not provide a welcome pack. Previous reviews suggest these may have been offered inconsistently. Even a simple selection of essentials such as milk, butter, bread and jam would be a thoughtful touch, particularly if it featured local produce from the shops highlighted in the guest information. Kitchen: The grey chopping boards are showing signs of wear and would benefit from replacement. We were also unable to find any kitchen scissors. In addition, some of the cupboard doors and drawers could do with a little maintenance and touch-up work. Outdoor area: There was some rubbish outside the back door when we arrived. The garden would benefit from being tidied and cut back, and for safety reasons, a handrail on the steps would be a worthwhile addition. Positives The bedrooms were comfortable, and the bathroom was lovely. We experienced a minor issue with the taps during our stay, but this was resolved quickly and efficiently, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay. With a few relatively small improvements, Blenheim Cottage could provide an even better experience for future guests.

The best thing about this house was the location. It's a great place for a long weekend, a stones throw from Blenheim palace where you can just walk down the lane into the grounds where there are beautiful walks. I personally wouldn't want to stay there for much longer because it's quite small,. The stairs are very steep and the upstairs floor is very wobbly. So if you're a a bit wobbly.on your feet take care! The kitchen is well equipped (no teapot) and the living room, chair and sofa are comfortable for 2 adults. Communication with Stay Cotswold reps was excellent and as I said excellent location. Woodstock is a lovely town with lots of lots of great pubs and restaurants and shops.

Really nice stay. Good facilities. Clean and tidy. Walking distance to Blenheim. We’d be happy to stay here again.
