The house was a beautifully restored colonial, lots of interesting features and thoughtful upgrades (like multiple outlets in all the rooms). The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need, including spices! The beds were comfortable, the linens and blankets top grade. The house sits on a hill overlooking the bay, there are several inviting seating arrangements around the property, including an outdoor firepit. Great view of the bay from the wrap around deck and only a 7 minute walk to the town. One of the best we've stayed in. Will be back!

Beautiful house with everything you would need to be comfortable! Amazing location and Views!! Did I mention perfect! We were in Boothbay for a family wedding and it was truly an amazing time in a beautiful home! Can’t wait to be able to stay there again❤️❤️

This lovely yellow home is perched above the harbor with a birds eye view. It is furnished with comfortable and interesting antiques that are relective of earlier times. There is excellent water pressure and generous bathrooms with plenty of good towels. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of eauipment and its spice drawer reflects an accomplished cook.The location is easy access to plennty of restaurants a, coffee shops and shopping. The outside space has adirondack chairs and a large deck with comfortable patio furniture.there is a large dining room table, a perfect puzzle table and a living room and den laid out for separate friends to have their own area for reading or gathering. I think you would be very happy to call it your home away from home for a seaside stay.

Home is perfectly located on Commercial Street, the Main Street in Boothbay Harbor, w lovely views of the Harbor from the spacious deck and lawn.. Ample space indoors and out, well furnished, kitchen well equipped. All bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is great. Two things to know — the washer and dryer are in the basement, and the bathroom mirrors over the sink are actually on the inside of the medicine cabinet
door. Who knew! The house is not air conditioned — not a problem if the nights are cool, but I imagine it would be less
comfortable during a hot spell. All rooms do have fans.

Beautiful historical home and wonderful location to downtown. The location was walking distance to restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this home! Our family had a great time exploring Boothbay and surrounding areas.

We stayed at this house last year with no problems, this year different story. Couldn't get in the house, the lock code wouldn't work. Made a few phone calls, after 20 mins. we finally got in. The cook top didn't work, it wouldn't light. The gas tank was off and I turned it on and it still wouldn't light. The second floor toilet in the smaller bedroom leaked twice on the bed on the first floor. The plastic nut on the bottom of the ballcock was loose, I tightened twice to stop the leaking. Last year there was a caretaker to call for any problems, this year no. We will not be going back ever again.

Everything exceeded expectations. The home was exceptionally clean and meticulously maintained. The bed linens were of high quality and luxurious. In fact, because I loved them so much, upon my return I went to pottery barn to recreate the master bedroom on the first floor. I was astonished at the amount of investment was put into just the bedding. I adored the decorating. Curtains, paint colors, even the throws in baskets in each of the two living rooms, made me feel like I was living in a decorating magazine. It was just on point, homey but not over the top. I have never been to a nicer vacation rental. We stayed five days before dropping off our daughter to college. This home and Boothbay Harbor, made it most memorable. The people in the town were very helpful and kind. The town, although a little more touristy than I envisioned, was genuine and shopkeepers sweet. The kitchen was well equipped, but with all the choices in town, we didn't make anything but coffee. Best experience ever!

Perfect Spot
This was a beautiful and well appointed home inside and out. Great location for walking in town and watching the harbor from the deck or living room. We will be back in the future. Great time was had by the five of us.

Beautiful home, lovingly restored, well stocked. Downtown location and view are fantastic. Near a boat yard that can be loud at times. No a/c was ok most of the time, but missed it on a couple hot nights. Great place for families, so much room to spread out and play; but home is full of antiques and white/light sofas so very small and active kids might have a hard time. Strongly recommend this house and can’t wait to go back!!!

This vacation rental, Rosegate, was everything our family needed during these uncertain times we are living in. The home was charming, cozy, clean and provided everything we needed for a week long stay. The location couldn't have been any better and the outdoor amenities of the fire pit and lounge furniture were an added bonus. It truly was a breath of fresh air for our family and we are already planning our trip for next summer!
