Location location location

A VERY HOMEY HOUSE IN THE WOODS. A PERFECT DISTANCE FROM THE CENTER OF TOWN OF HELEN. LOVED THE CREEK IN THE BACK YARD - SO SMOOTHING. SO MUCH TO DO IN THE SURROUNDING AREA.

The pictures do not do this home justice. I was very pleasantly surprised, the home was a lot better than I expected. The home was clean and well stocked. A nice private setting. The sounds of the creek are very relaxing. The home was very well laid out and felt nice and spacious. I would definitely stay here again.

Very guiet and rustic.

The house and property were very nice. It sits off the road and has a lot of privacy. It was big enough for my family. Party of 7. All the toilets are low but no biggie. This is a dog friendly house so there was a lot of dog hair. There was a large black bear in our trash!! The owner needs to communicate better about where the trash should be placed. We had to clean up the previous tenants trash because the bear scattered all over the yard. Please make sure to watch your animals and small children here! I would stay here again. 🙂🙂

The pictures don't do this place justice at all. The house is older but has a great layout. The porch, gazebo and deck are incredible. The creek and the view are just amazing.

Our family of 7 truly loved this cabin. The host was the best I've encountered. Every amenity you could need it right on site. The decor was fabulous and adorable. We are already looking forward to coming back to stay at this exact cabin again.

This place was beautiful!!! We plan on trying to get the same cabin over the summer! We had a fire and enjoyed the hot tub, and the my favorite part was I went out on the swing at night and rocked my baby to sleep listening to the sound of the creek.

We loved our impromptu stay. The pictures don’t do the cabin justice. We have three boys- 2, 5, 8- and the cabin was perfect for them to explore and play. Its only 3 minutes from Unicoi state park and we went there three times the week we stayed. It’s also only four minutes from Betty’s general store which we went to almost every day. Excellent location to amazing hikes too, like Duke’s Creek and Ravens Cliffs. We enjoyed the hot tub every night after hiking. Having a washing machine was perfect for us as it rained one day and we needed to wash clothes!

Overall a very nice place to stay. Nice open floor plan makes the cabin feel spacious. Beds are comfortable. Back yard area, creek and hot tub were great! Location to Helen was perfect! Cabin could use some updates but really nothing to complain about! We enjoyed ourselves!

Toilet seat needed repair almost had a bad fall. Cabin was extremely dusty. Instructions for use of TV was non existent, code for wi fi was incorrect. Could have had a nice welcome basket like other vrbo’s have had.

This was a very good location as both the state park and the city of Helen were close by. Facilities were very adequate. Would stay again.

Beautiful home and the location was perfect. Wonderful Couples get away. Pet friendly was a plus. Everything we needed was there. Thank you for an awesome place to stay.

Nice location to Helen GA with short drive. Remote enough to enjoy the mountains. Had lots of supplies to make the stay comfortable. The only issue we had was there was a lot of dust under furniture which caused us to clean the vacuum out and clean the place as we were sensitive to the dust. The only other issue was Trash piled up on us to many people for the on trash can for a week stay. Host was quick to answer question. Very peaceful setup to go listen to creek, The hot tub was nice and the fire pit was great.

I really and truly wish I could give this place 5 stars, But…… The cabin is lovely in a beautiful, picturesque location on the side of the mountain with a soothing creek running beside it. The screened porch and pavilion down by the creek was really nice. and my girls enjoyed being down there catching crawfish. The inside is nice but definitely needs some renovations or updating, new bedding (I actually had to change my sheets and blanket on my bed because they felt damp. There were also some moldy places here and there. I think just because of the location and water surrounding the cabin, (which is wonderfully nice) also unfortunately makes for a lot of moisture and just an unpleasant, dank smell inside. Some air purifiers would take care of that. The real unfortunate problems were the gross and unclean hot tub and the giant hornets that are obviously nesting in the back shed behind the house. I called the owner about the hot tub. She was very responsive to all my concerns. She told me I could drain the hot tub and gave me directions how. Ok, I actually did that, and cleaned and scrubbed that hot tub, and refilled it and we got it working again and enjoyed it, Until…..nighttime when the giant hornets decided that they wanted to swarm all around the house basically at all the doors, and at the screen door that went out to the hot tub. And when I say giant hornets, I mean GIANT hornets!!!! We couldn’t even go out to get in the hot tub at night after all that work cleaning it! To end on a positive note….. We did enjoy the hot tub the next day, we played some games(they had lots including Helenopoly) and like I said, the place is for the most part, lovely. Just make sure they’ve cleaned the hot tub prior to you coming and gotten rid of the murder hornets!

setting is outstanding...you are in the woods and the creek and trees are the best. The lack of cleanliness was not the house, but the grill on the porch and the bear-proof trash overflowing with old trash.

The cabin is in a great location. Decorated nicely, comfortable beds, plenty towels and washcloths, overall everything you need. Downsides: the screen door is completely torn up, outdoor chairs were unusable due to not being cleaned, had to wash the sheet on the bed swing before use, large stain on bedsheets (wasn't sure if they were clean), had to sweep outside deck around hot tub and hot tub cover, no bromine in floater, texted owner upon arrival with no response. Had an issue with the hot tub and tried to text the owner with no response and called the owner with the hot tub issue/left message and still no response.

This cabin was located in a great location! It was only 5 mins away from town, but still secluded in the woods! Pictures don’t do this place justice. It was so cute! Everything we needed was already in the cabin, like tide pods to wash our clothes! It was a great experience and I highly recommend staying here!!!

Property is in good condition, except for the back screen door, which needs total replacement. Beautiful location and nice furnishings. It is a good value. Would suggest cleaning the lower deck from sap and etc prior to arrivals. The chairs down there are so covered with sap that they are unusable. Peaceful place to spend with family, and close to Helen. Reception for cell phones is very low, so it would be nice to acquire the landline number in case someone needs to call you while you are there. Very pleased on a whole.

We were really pleased with this cabin, the owners took a lot of care in making sure it was stocked with more than anyone would need. The grounds were great, actually better than the pictures. The location was good for us, not too close to town but only a very short drive. We would stay again! Thanks!

This property was perfect in every way. Very convenient to Helen and the surrounding area but far enough away to be peaceful. Plenty of space, well stocked, comfortable beds. The stream running through the property was nice to hear. The hot tub and screened porch were nice to have. The host was very responsive. I would stay here again the next time I was in the area.
