Herceg Vila

Herceg Vila is a beautiful boutique hotel. The location was excellent and there was plenty of available parking. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The staff were very friendly.

I liked everything

The property itself is very nice. It faces the river and the view is quite pleasant. Located just a 5-10 minute walk from Stari Grad and close to the roads that lead to nearby wineries, it is very convenient. Parking on-site is a bonus and ultra convenient. The staff who work in the daytime speak a limited amount of English but could not be nicer if they tried! Go out of their way to please you. The young woman who worked the evening was fluent in English and extremely pleasant to talk with. I was given an upgrade to the "apartment" on the top floor and only wish I was staying there longer. It was a beautiful two room arrangement with an incredible patio, tons of closet space, and a modern, efficient bathroom. If you are staying in the region or using this as a base, it would be worth the price.

Not a thing.

Amazing owners that were willing to help with any need. Very in the know with the surrounding areas and helped us make great, stress free decisions on what to do. Pool is perfect for a quick dip and the rooms were clean, comfortable and the bed felt bigger than a king. A neat feature to the town is that they have the river flowing into a “public pool” style area and it’s just right behind the place. Having the onsite parking was great too. Just a quick 5-10 minute walk to old town.

TV was a little quirky, but we didn’t need it anyway.

A small but very well managed hotel, and the staff are super helpful. Breakfast was delicious and staff went out of their way to adopt breakfast for our need (we only eat halal). Terrace with the cafe is great set up overlooks nearby river.

Walk to the old town - a good 10 minute walk, and not the best of the route to follow. Staff who were in morning duty had very limited English language skill and so made it difficult to communicate (but the lady who received us in the evening was exceptional.
