Great location; comfortable beds
The pub looks “tired” and needs some TLC; shower was very weedy; food was uninspiring although breakfast on our second morning was significantly better than our first.
All a shame as Sedbergh is a nice town and I’m sure attracts lots of thirsty visitors with money to spend for the duration.

The Red Lion is an excellent spot for the night while walking the Dals Way, or the Dale High Way. The dinners I thought were very well prepared: kudos to the cook. The breakfasts were great way to prepare for a days walk. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the water was hot. It was all good.

Food was of a very good quality

Our room was next to the kitchen and was quite noisy at times.

The room was not en-suite as advertised, we had to leave our room to cross to adjacent bathroom for our sole use. The bed was large but topper uncomfortable. Room is on noisy road unfortunately. The price is far too much for the facilities on offer.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
It’s a quirky v old pub.
Having an en-suite and more comfy bed.
