Browns Avenue Hotel

I liked where it was located. The facilities are really nice. A little wear and tear on the floors in the room. I loved the library and the rooftop a lot.

We have traveled to Europe many times before. On this trip we had already been to Barcelona, Mallorca and Seville before arriving in Lisbon so we are well aware of the culture. We found the staff to be somewhat rude. All the hotels in Spain had been very helpful in finding places to go and places to dine. There was always a smile and a kind word as we came and went during our stays in Spain. This front desk staff, both day and night shift were so unfriendly and unwelcoming that it almost felt awkward to walk past the front desk. We were never greeted as we left and returned each day. That made it seem like a bad choice considering all the other beautiful hotels in Lisbon.

Small but perfectly designed mansard room. Wonderful rooftop pool with great views. Exceptional breakfast served in the beautiful hotel restaurant. Super friendly & professional staff.

It was a perfect location for us.. Quiet but within walking distance of the city centre. I am coeliac and need to follow a strictly gluten free diet. Gluten free bread, a muffin and a gf pastel de nata were provided for me at breakfast . I was able to eat fruit, yogurt, cheeses and nuts from the buffet in addition. On our first evening we ate dinner in the hotel and using a coeliac dining card I ate safely. Our room was clean and very comfortable and we also enjoyed the sun beds on the roof top for relaxing after our days of exploring the city.
