The flat is amazing for the price you pay. It's located at one end of the Valley of Kings and the large balcony has an amazing view. The kitchen is spacious, the bed is extremely comfortable. the air conditioner works excellently. It's a great property.

I connected with Ahmad the owner long before arrival. My booking was for 6 days. He offered to pick me up from the bus station and bring me to the property. I thanked him profusely for this kindness which I thought he was offering as my booking was for such a long time and he accepted it. His son picked me up and all through the ride was telling me places he could take me to. The moment we got to the property Ahmad told me to give him 500 EGP - he never mentioned there would be a charge for the pick-up; Then he took me to the flat and immediately spoke of tours in his car and costs for each. I asked if there were group tours -- he said there were none. Untrue, I took a really good one that covered all the major sites of Luxor in one full day. He offered breakfast, lunch and dinner at prices way beyond reasonable. Later, his younger son walked me to the supermarket. I bought him some chocolates. He said he did not want these and wanted some better ones. The not telling me that he would charge for the pick-up, the money-mindedness and the constant shutting off of the water supply in the flat since I did not take any of the tour options. I thought this aspect of the experience to be unfortunate and in bad taste.

L'appartement est situé au deuxième étage de la maison d'Ahmed et de sa famille. C'est lui qui nous a accueilli avec son épouse. Ils sont tous les deux adorables et discrets. On se sent tout de suite chez soi. Ils ont un terrain avec des animaux qu'ils élèvent. J'aurais aimé passer plus de temps avec eux mais nous étions venus, comme tout le monde, visiter les sites historiques, mais une ou deux journées supplémentaires passées avec la famille auraient été un plaisir! Notre appartement était très bien agencé avec une vue exceptionnelle depuis la petite terrasse. Situé sur la rive gauche du Nil, beaucoup moins touristique, on est au calme. Le fils d'Ahmed, Mohammed, connait très bien le secteur et peut vous emmener en voiture n'importe où. Séjourner ici a été un bonheur!

Le logement est idéalement situé côté west bank, près des principaux monuments et à l'écart de l'agitation de la ville. Les hôtes sont très gentils et serviables. La nourriture est copieuse, le logement propre et neuf. Vous pouvez compter sur leurs recommandations (expérience inoubliable en montgolfière au-dessus de la vallée). Vous pouvez aisément vous balader dans les environs (temple Medinet Habu juste à côté à faire).

Tout est bon.

👍 What I liked: The place is very quiet and peaceful, ideal if you are looking to relax away from the busy areas. The apartment is spacious, with a large living room, a comfortable bedroom, a good closet, and a functional kitchen. The bed and linens were clean and comfortable. The bathroom is also spacious, with strong water pressure and good hot water. The rooftop/terrace areas are pleasant to spend time in.

👎 What I didn’t like / Areas for improvement: The location on the West Bank is quite remote, making access difficult. Getting an Uber is not always easy, and while tuk-tuks are an option, it can still be inconvenient. Some kitchen items were not properly clean. For example, I had to clean the kettle before using it, as it was dusty (possibly due to ongoing construction). The building is under construction, so there can be noise or activity during the day. There is no internet available, which is a major downside—especially for remote workers. I had to rely on my mobile data the entire time. A serious issue occurred with access to the building: despite having keys, I was unable to enter late at night because the main door was locked from the inside. This forced me to find alternative accommodation at 2:00 AM, which was very inconvenient and ultimately led me to leave earlier than planned.
