Serene Waterfront Rooms - ExCel

Everything perfect, fantastic view. Comfortable and very near to the Excel centre

Maybe the carpet could be changed, it was very warned out

View was great Excellent location.

Collecting keys from shop nearby was a bit of a walk.

The location is fantastic. The view is amazing. Yes the carpet is a little tired but honestly for what you pay, you can’t beat it - especially being so close to the Elizabeth Line. You can be in central London within 20 mins. The other reviews don’t give this room justice imo. I’ve stayed 3 times and I have only ever had the en suite room and the other room’s bathroom IS private - you just have to leave the room to access. Really not a big deal. Plus the bar on the nearby Hotel Sunborn is bloody great for a late night cocktail! 🍹

This should be at least an 8/10 but I agree with the other reviews - ensuring the TV works, that there is milk available for hot drinks (even UHT cartons would do!), refining the instructions so people know not to walk along the river but with the hotels on your LEFT not right and the big one - telling people IN ADVANCE about needing to collect the keys from 10 mins away. This was my 3rd stay so I knew but to not release those details until 3pm on the day of check in is a real issue and the owners should take note of that as the review score would increase.

Location perfect for Excel - bed was very comfortable and the scenery was incredible. Nice towels and bathroom good layout of the room. Queries we had were answered promptly.

Someone had used the toilet before we arrived and not flushed to chain. It stated kettle and kitchen area (we assumed wrongly) there would be tea coffee, milk etc but nothing. The kitchen "area" did have a fridge and microwave but there was only one mug, a couple of plates, knives but no forks. We werent really interested in the kitchen utensils. However, think it should be make clear that yes there was a kettle but no tea or coffee included
