Limni Resort

Staff accogliente e disponibile, camera ampia e pulita con servizi annessi e pulizia ed asciugamani su richiesta; cucina ottima, c'era un po' da aspettare, ma veniva tutto preparato sul momento quindi ne valeva la pena per la qualità.

Il buffet alla colazione è praticamente inesistente, non c'è scelta ovvero o mangi latte e cereali o pancake e uova, mi aspettavo almeno delle fette biscottate o del pane tostato con delle marmellate o creme varie, invece niente di tutto ciò. Inoltre consiglio vivamente di cambiare i materassi nelle stanze perchè veramente scomodissimi, un mal di schiena assurdo.

Lovely spacious rooms opening directly onto the pool which was great with kids. A little outside the busy part of the city but still easy enough to walk and drive to best food and beach spots. Staff were friendly and very accommodating.

The restaurant food was very oily and took quite a bit of time to come out (which does make sense as they were cooking to order). We ended up venturing elsewhere for slightly healthier food options although there was salad available - my kids are just fussy and don't eat salad.

The pool area is what helps this hotel to be on top. It's really nice and clean, new cabanas (already getting dirty a bit but maybe they will clean them after the season). It's very calm there, away from all the craziness of Ksamil but still not far away. We have almost direct access to the pool from our apartment which was very comfortable, also, rooms are quite spacious. Petros and Athena were nice and tried to help in some situations, the cat family was an additional attraction for our kids.

We wanted to stay in the authentic hotel but it seems we gotway too much authenticity :) we booked ground floor apartments with stone walls and the problems started there. First of all, a very dirty sofa, which they said was cleaned so many times it became stained (?), some covers where put on it after a few days. Second, the smell! The bedroom has a very strong smell of naphthalene, I first thought it comes from the wardrobe, but all the bedsheets had that smell and even our pyjamas were covered in that smell :( I mentioned it for a few members of staff and asked to change the bedsheets after 2 nights, after changing, it seemed better, but the smell came back the other night, it probably comes from the mattress, they may spray something against the insects or smth, but it's impossible to sleep there. Third, the blankets were nice but also smelly, I asked to change/wash them, the owner woman didn't get the issue at first, but changed them. A stange understanding of cleanliness in general, when you ask to clean the room, they only take the trash from the bathroom, but leave old dirty wet towels on the floor and doesn't clean the bathroom at all. Pillows are very high and uncomfortable, I asked for smaller ones but they didn't have them. The funniest part started 3 nights before the end of our stay (we stayed for a week), the ceiling in the bedroom started to leak water directly on the bed, I informed the staff, they said they know the problem, it's not the first time like that, but nothing to suggest. Towels changed on request, but they change then only at daytime, so if you use your pool towels at the moment, they cannot be changed that day. Pool towels very old, stained and with holes, not a big issue, but strange for a 4* hotel. Bath towels very hard, seems like they rush to bring them directly after drying outside.

The swimming pool saved the feedback from being negative.

On arrival there was no electrics and was tripping. One of two accommodation we had had a leak from the ceiling directly on to the bed (2 nights). Despite the request to change our bed sheets due to some kind of insect was crashed over the night, our beds were put back without replacing dirty (covered in insects blood) sheets. One of the single beds mattress had a massive dip and one of our daughters couldn't sleep properly. Not sure who and how rating this place 4*. In general entire so called "resort" felt missmanaged. Air con water puddles everywhere making floors slippery.
