Good location. Very unique room. Great atmosphere

Very (very) noisy! Smoking smell enters the room from the balcony

As an Architect, I appreciated the really appealing, cohesive and thoughtful interior design, and the adaptive re-use of an existing building, knitted into the older city fabric. The bed was very comfy, the bedding was crisp and clean and the quality and thoroughness of the room servicing was outstanding. The ‘projector’ type TV was a nice way to watch shows in large, projected format, after a day exploring the city. Lovely reception staff, who didnt hesitate with the unpleasant but necessary task of evicting a party of loud, boorish guests after one obnoxious night.

As an Architect, it was also a little frustrating that the prioritising of the clarity and “purity” of the interior design resulted in the omission of a few of the less sexy hotel room facilities - eg. a dedicated place to put luggage or vanity shelf in the bathroom to place sponge bags etc. That said, the cleaning staff did an amazing job, each day, of restoring stylish cool from “exploded-luggage” chaos!

The room was really really lovely. It was cosy, felt very clean, with so much detail paid to the interior design. The bed was very very comfortable, the bathroom was very clean, the staff were very helpful and it was an overall wonderful experience. I didn't want to leave my room!

I would mark this down from perfect only very barely - being on top of Lolita, it was loud at night, I think every property hotel should provide Kleenex or tissues, and the room service isn't quite seamless - they get the food from Lolita, and it was really tasty, but it didn't come with cutlery. I think there could also have been one more desk or just some space for me to set up the kettle and eat food that wasn't the wall-lining counter.

The hotel has a pretty good location and a nice, stylish design, which were definitely positives. Unfortunately, there were quite a few issues during our stay that made the experience less enjoyable.

If you’re looking for a room with natural sunlight, this may not be the place for you — our rooms were extremely dark. There was also a constant smell of cigarettes coming from the terrace below, which was quite unpleasant. We booked three rooms, and unfortunately, the safes were not working in any of them/were already locked. The top-floor room also had a noticeable sewage smell. At night, there was quite a lot of noise coming from neighbouring rooms, including loud music and, on one occasion, very clearly audible intimate noises. What was most disappointing, however, was being charged upon check out for damage that we did not cause. As a gesture of goodwill, we paid the charge despite disputing it, but the staff were unwilling to reconsider the matter in the slightest or even meaningfully discuss our concerns. This left a particularly bad impression and was very frustrating. Sadly, I would not return or recommend.
