It was very close to the sandy beach, and the centre of Machico. A pair of very nice restaurants within 1mins walk - literally. It was modern, well decorated, and a really nice property with various outdoor seating areas including 2 balconies. Very comfortable for 4 people.
There was an odd odour in the upstairs bathroom. I uninformed Marco, the property manager, who promptly acknowledged the feedback. We left too soon after that feedback to know what was done about it (this is the reason for a 9 not a 10).

The house was amazing - it had absolutely everything we needed. We loved all the terraces and the BBQ. Having 2 bathrooms and 2 showers was great. Location was also really perfect, close to the beach and town.
As others mentioned, the car does not fit so you cannot close the gate, but there is also free parking just 1 street away
