Great location! Right on the water. Friendly staff, very clean, good breakfast, and plenty of hot water. There are pools nearby as well as restaurants. There is also a large grocery store that is walking distance.

No wifi in my room.

The location was great, with beautiful view of the ocean och close to the natural pools and walking distance to Madalena city center. It was nice and clean and amazing breakfast (simple but with nice fresh bread, FRESH FRUIT, yoghurt, eggs, coffee and juice).

It would have been nice with AC in the room but it was very hot weather when we were there (30+ degrees) and still surprisingly cool in the room only from opening the windows.

The location is unbelievable just in grin of the sea with amazing feeling and views. On the back also great views of Pico. Hard to compete with that but Mona, who prepared the breakfast and took care of all the guests is simply amazing. She is so thoughtful and helpful, it makes the stay thousand times better. Lovely home, the owners made it with lots of intelligence and love. The location is also minutes from the port and downtown and excellent breakfast.

Nothing all was great.

The location of this property could not be better, right next to the sea and with the windows open, you could hear the waves crashing. It was a short walk to the beach and local restaurants nearby. The hosts were kind, helpful and affable.

The feel of the property was more like a hostel than a guest house. It was expected that you clear your own dishes after breakfast and load them in the dishwasher. There were next to no comforts either in the room, nor on the room balcony or communal areas. The pillows were like an instrument of torture, flat, lumpy offering no support and they were not fit for purpose. They gave me the worst neck and back ache. The bedding and towels had seen better days, they was no cleaning of either the rooms or communal areas (other than the kitchen) in the 4 nights that we stayed. I fell through a broken chair in the 'yoga room' which had been left there without any warning notice. The room balcony was lovely, however the outside wooden chairs were not comfortable so we were not able to sit out at all, this coupled with a large group of guests who every night monopolised the outside terrace beneath us until 11pm, did not make for a very relaxing experience. The room was very hot and needed black out curtains. Just disappointing, as with a few mod cons and updated furniture/bedding, this guest house could be a winner.
