We stayed in one the 2 rooms in the annex and we loved it very much. Everything is tastefully decorated, the mountain view was amazing. It was great to have our cup of tea every morning on the balcony with the sun irradiating us and the room. The location is perfect! Just across the road there is a beautiful path leading to amazing sea views and bays. The town centre with great restaurants is just few minutes drive away. Marijke welcomes you with a lot of very useful information about Hermanus.

the host was very gracious to accommodate us even though we arrived quite late for check in. she was also very helpful with the suggestions about things to do around the town and which routes to take to find the best spots for photography. wish we could have stayed there for longer.

The moment we stepped in the door, we fell in love with Walker Bay Manor. Marijke was there to receive us and showed us the stunning mountain view room. The view is breathtaking, the room is spacious and cosy, the bed was very comfortable and the fresh flowers were a very personal and appreciated touch. Marijke helped us with dinner reservations (excellent), walking (stunning) and shopping (successful to say the least) recommendations. We felt already very much at home, but when we came to the breakfast in the gorgeous garden, we wanted to move in! Do yourself a favour and book here - it will be fantastic.

We arrived at the guesthouse and to be honest it was one of the worst receptions we have had. The staff member who checked us in looked as though she was doing us a favour and we did not feel welcome at all.

Our Hostess was lovely! The room was small but pleasant.

The parking area is not secured or allocated to guests. Maybe it could be considered to install a sliding door between the bedroom and bathroom for ablution privacy, instead of a curtain.

The location was very good. Once we arranged our breakfasts, which initially was a contentious issue, they were excellent.

We thought we were booked in the junior suite and pool room, which would be located inside the actual Walker Bay Manor Mansion - this was not the case as the owner has rented two rooms across the road in her neighbours' home. We were not advised of this at any point and only after we arrived at the guest house, were we informed. Please be sure to book your breakfast! We were told that we didn't book the breakfast in our booking - there was never an option to do this (no tick box). I made the assumption that we would be able to receive breakfast as we were booking a BnB / guesthouse. All in all our stay was pleasant and we love Hermanus.

We were warmly greeted by the owner upon arrival and that set the tone for the rest of the stay. She gave us wonderful tips on where to go in Hermanus and what to do. You can actually enjoy whale watching just a short walk in front of the property. Plus, that same spot is where the Cliff Path trail starts in Hermanus. I'd give the location a 10/10. The mansion itself is quite beautiful and has a pleasant charm to it; the room was beautiful and clean, also the bathroom. They served delicious breakfast tailored to one's preference. Marijke was very friendly and receptive to us. :-) Thank you for welcoming us into your property. We stayed for only one night, but will definitely book here again during our next trip to Hermanus!

The hotel is super clean, even with a nice living room in which we could watch Netflix on a rainy evening. The owner is just lovely, likewise the staff who served us with an delicious breakfast
