This is not a hotel. It’s a motel with hookers, gangbangers trashy nasty dirty downtown with homeless people crashed cars beat up cars in the parking lot. Please take it off your list hotels.com.

Horrible experience. Looked nothing like the photos. The place looked like it was part apartment part hotel. The Wyndham lobby had white sheets covering the windows so we had to go to the travel lodge side (both are literally the same hotel). When we got.to the room, there was stuff on the floor, busted sockets, dirty lamp shades, and the windows were disgusting. We literally went back down and checked out and found another hotel. This place looked like the owners could care less for the guests or their safety!

The Door Lock was broken the entire stay of 10 days. Even when the door lock was working after being reset by the front desk, it still would never open on the first or second or even third try. On one instance there the lobby was unmanned with a sign posted "closed until 6am because of staff shortage".

My friend and I had a bad experience with staying at the hotel. There was constant noise throughout the two nights. In the mornings, there was constant screaming at 5 am from the guests to the employees of Howard Johnson. On hotels.com it showed that there was complimentary breakfast, which was a lie. They only served nutri grain bars or a couple of muffins, the apple juice and the orange juice in the machine were watered down to the point it was almost water. The Howard Johnson main office and the area where the complimentary breakfast was at was being remodeled and the staff did not notify the guests ahead of time. I was told by the staff, when i checked in, that it was a smoke-free hotel. Yet there were people smoking weed and hot-boxing in room 211.

So if your looking up travel lodge and thought this was a step up, nope. You’ll get mugged after 8pm going to the Walgreens.
Hot water = cold water from the shower, got the burns to show it.
Go stay someplace else.

The pictures posted online are deceiving. Dirty hotel, very sketchy tweakers hanging around.

The area is extremely loud with lots of sirens late at night and loud music. It was very difficult to get to sleep.

For the price its more than worth it.

Excellent location, without additional resort fees right next to the ROW!! We will stay again the room was modern and close to the road so a bit noisy in the day but very inexpensive and the ice machine is in the office the staff was very friendly and professional

Hotel was dilapidated, sketchy, dirty, and not easy to get to room with luggage. Breakfast was anything but. Think more hostess pastries and oj with coffee. Not sure why they advertise breakfast at all. Rooms were dingy and busted. Heater didn’t work. Garbage cans just left on the balconies full of booze containers and stinky food boxes. Parking lot was sketchy with cars idol and looking like drug deals going down. People living on the streets living under the parking lot awnings storing all their stuff in crevasses around the property. Elevator sign falling apart didn’t trust getting in it.

Near freeway, easy to access!
Not able to close bathroom door, door key kept invalid when back to room.

I felt so unsafe. There was 2 police frisking a man, and at the same time 4th floor patrons were screaming about raping children. I took my preteen son and found a new place to stay. We did not stay there.

One of my criteria to select a place to stay was its offering of breakfast. It was the first time I learned about "grab and go" breakfast. It was not what we were looking for.

The property is not at all like it shows in the pictures ..We were moved to 3 different rooms because the heater wasn’t working.. the smell in the rooms was horrible. Definitely pay a little bit more, the staff was effective to solve the problem. The property is located in Reno Downtown, not a good area.

The pictures are way nicer looking than the actual place. It’s just an old property that needs to be upgraded and cleaned.

Great location, coffee in the morning, good value for a low price.

The linens were clean and fresh, almost like they were new. The room was cleaned and linens changed after the third day. Breakfast was very slight, juice, coffee, packaged roll. There are obvious good attempts to remodel the property. Elevator did not function at the time of our stay. There was good lighting adding to security needed in that area of town.

The rooms were clean and adequate for a 1 nite stay while passing through town. But the used condoms on the stairwell were a real turn off. Also homeless people hanging out.

This property is loud and not very well put together, bad renovations, found food crumbs on the bed and woke up though the night to find roaches on the bedside table, if I had another option at that point I would have left,
I was made to sign a no smoking and pets agreement, however had a neighbor who's dog barked most of the night, as for the front desk staff they did great even through issues with pos and cleaning staff issues.

room was filthy, sink and shower were both leaking, parking lot is constantly filled with homeless drug addicts, and there was so much noise both from the street and from the other rooms that I couldn’t get any sleep the entire time I stayed there. would not recommend anyone stay here

First off I had a non-smoking room and when we checked in the roomed smelled of cigarette smoke. We opened a drawer an found cigarette buds in it. Second when I reserved the room I was under the impression I was getting a room that looked like the pictures online and once I arrived that was not the case.

Good rooms for the price.

This property advertised non-smoking however, the rooms smelled like smoke. The person in the front office looked like he was on meth. The beds were uncomfortable, it was noisy all night from traffic and people walking above us all night. The phones didn't work in the room, the electric fixtures was missing from them. It was sketchy people hanging around lookingvlike zoomies. Please, i did not recommend this place.

I believe her name at the desk was Rachel, she was nice but they had a problem with the computer. The room had paint on the floor. The chair was heavily stained. The air conditioner vent was broken. The refrigerator door would not open without having to yank the door as it was too big for the cabinet. The bathtub had chips in the the paint. Only had 1 hanger as the two other hangers were broken and sitting on the self. The sink faucet was not positioned correctly as it allowed water to miss the sink. The door to the room had dirty kick marks on the bottom. The traffic noise was Incredibly noisy!!!

Dirty, old space and uncomfortable room, tv No function, no meals (said lunch included in page), bad all!

Poorly maintained. What was maintained was a joke. You could see the drywall repairs. Paint all over the bathroom floor. Shower curtain rod, hung incorrectly ( you couldn’t take a shower without the curtain taking up a bunch of your room. Pieces if the floor were coming up. The morning breakfast was a choice of 10 or less muffins. No coffee cups. I was offered the little juice cup for coffee. The artificial grass on the walkway to the rooms was covered in horribly installed cheap fake grass. Out of my five key cards they ended up giving me, all required multiple (5 or more) tries, if they worked at all.

That was awful. Will never ever recommend

The facility is badly in need of renovation.

The property outside does not seem well cared for, and it’s noisy. But this is Reno.. My room is fairly clean, the bathroom looks spotless. I feel I’m getting what I paid for, but the outside is off putting.

Although a good value this property is in desperate need of repairs. Doors barely work, overall property is in disrepair and it feels dated. The location is nice but at night the locals like to rev their engines up and down the street until late in the night. The car noise reverberates throughout the property. Can't say I would stay here again.

ROACHES! This property shouldn’t even be offered on Expedia. First, the room wreaked of smoke and stale beer. Air freshener and candles did not help much. The kicker was when a roach crawled from beneath the base board to parade around the floor while I bathed. Despite bright lights. After dealing with that one we saw four more. Never turned the light off because even with the lights on they are everywhere. No one answered all evening at the Front Desk. Now we have to risk infesting our home. Still waiting for Howard Johnson and Expedia to respond to my request for a refund. Expedia should be ashamed to offer this property to its customers.
