Hotel Sorrabona

Room, near to beach, bars, shops, good food

close to the beach, to train station, places to have a walk, to run , promenade very extensive.

Excellent position on sea front. Immaculately clean. We stay in a ‘Comfort’ room, I do find the bed a little hard but that’s my only slight negative. The female receptionist and bar man went above and beyond in their helpfulness to us with an important translation. All the staff are pleasant and diligent. Lovely outdoor pool and sun bed area on grass. We’ve stayed there three times and will return.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall it was clean. The food was acceptable, glad I was only there for four days as it’s very repetitive, I but the worst thing about the evening meal is, you get charged for water or a cup of tea, €2.40 for a small tea cup, that’s all you get!!! Water is in a glass bottle and costs €3.40, I just couldn’t believe it!!! Tea is free at breakfast time. There is no kettle in the rooms. The ice creams and gelato at the hotel is nothing short of a rip off. One magnum was €3.20 one day and the next was €4.20, gelato €5.30 for 2 very small scoops!! Literally within a 3 min walk a magnum costs €2.90?? Be warned the pool is freezing!!! It doesn’t get a lot of sun on it as it’s sheltered by the buildings.
