Amazing! Location was perfect for everything we wanted to do and see. Room and bathroom are small and there are no blinds on window, just a top window shutter. But we had a great time, people are great, breakfast is delicious, many choices. And they carried our bags ( no elevator) and drove us to the ferry. Couldn’t ask for more.

The hotel is lovely, but could use a deep cleaning. It was less than spotless, but tolerable. The porter was a friendly fellow, but the desk clerk seemed unable to smile.

Great walking distance from ferry, shops, beach, and food. Stayed in the Daniel Webster house, the walls are a bit thin. Not a big deal but I would suggest light blocking shades for the windows.

Jared Coffin house is very well located, and the staff is excellent! Rooms are as expected in an old building, but everything is immaculately clean. A/C worked well, great water pressure and hot water, clean and comfortable! Go and enjoy!

Very attentive staff, easy check in, so convenient to water, restaurants, shopping. The hotel has bikes available for use if you get up early and claim one or there is a rental place very close. I feel like this was a great choice for us, we walked everywhere or free shuttles are provided to several locations.

The staff was excellent. More than willing to help with any requests and refused to take tips.

The staff is lovely, friendly and very accommodating. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. The staircase can be a challenge and would not be recommended for anyone with mobility issues. We have one very large complaint, and that is breakfast. We anticipated a proper breakfast in a proper setting, which it is certainly not. It’s a meager buffet, less than what you’d get at a roadside motel. Second, there is no place to eat-you have to find a chair or vacant couch place in a salon that has a few coffee tables so you eat on your lap or bending over a low table. They only provide thin cocktail napkins so you can’t cover your lap. They make only one (lovely) cake per day no matter how many guests there are and if you’re not among the first to rush down you don’t get any (breakfast runs until 10:00 and there’s no cake left at 8:30). Finally, you have to clean up after yourself! For nearly $600 a night we found this most disappointing.

Great location, staff and room!

The staff at the property were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and breakfast was a nice touch. The hotel is in a great spot and there’s a shuttle to and from the ferry. One suggestion: add another mirror to the room, either on the bathroom or closet door, or even above the desk. It would be helpful!

Very helpful staff

Just left and was SO impressed! This is an older hotel so no elevator and smaller rooms BUT it’s so charming and in the perfect location to see all the sights. The best part by far is the staff! Everyone was beyond helpful and friendly! You can tell they take pride in their job. I’ve stayed in some pretty higher end hotels and this staff out did them all! Shoutout to Tevin for hauling luggage with a smile every time! And the front desk staff was incredible!

Chose the Jared Coffin Hose to experience the charm of a historic building only to be told our room was next door in another building, which has zero historic value or appeal. The room was ok, the furniture condition appeared to be from a yard sale, a few of the bathroom floor tiles were lifting, the bathroom vent sounded similar to a cement mixer. The staff was great, very friendly and professional. Unfortunately that doesn’t make up for the room bait and switch! Will not stay at the Jared Coffin House ever again!!
