DO NOT BOOK HERE! I booked this hotel through Hotels.com because of the indoor pool and free breakfast. There was no mention of the property being renovated and that the pool was closed. After coming back from Carlsbad Caverns our first night, we take the elevator up to the third floor just to find that the door to the corridor was closed so my 14 year nephew opened it so we could get to our room only to learn Spanish "Puta madre" because there was a worker on the other side of the door and there were no signs telling us that the floor was being worked on. We go down to the front since we cannot get to our room and I tell the front desk what transpired and the lady at the front informed us that it was not acceptable and she would take care of it. We finally walk up the stairs and to our room. We tried to settle in only to hear the sawing and drilling near our room. I called to the front and she assured me that it would not take long. The workers stopped working on the floor at 9:00. If you book here, make sure to bring your own toilet paper and that you call before booking because this property is horrible. I booked this non-refundable stay and will never make that mistake again.

Hotel was/is under construction in some parts of the hotel but it was handled really well. Sadly, the pool was closed but that didn't effect the overall score.
Very quiet and the ladies at the first desk very nice and willing to help at any time.
The room was clean really well, bed very comfortable, I would really highly recommend. The morning breakfast was amazing 😍

This was my worst experience of booking thru an agency. They did not mention that the hotel was under construction, needless to say our door wouldn’t latch shut nor did it have an inside lock. We had to use a shelf to keep our door shut. When I went to the front desk they offered a “not updated room” and mentioned “they had been having lots of problems with the rooms” walked down to view the room and the lights wouldn’t even turn on. I originally booked for two nights, ended up staying one just because every other room was booked that weekend in Hobbs! The hotel didn’t even offer to give back a refund or even an apology! Very disappointed!

The hotel was completely torn apart. There was no notification of this before my stay. I had cleaning people walk into my room twice an hour before checkout. I was unable to lock the door due to the fact there was no lock.

Originally had reserved a king size bed for me and my wife once I got to check out I got my room key made my way up to the room soon as I walk in couldn’t stand the smell of wet dog and old food walked in to a room flipped upside down made my way back to the clerks desk and showed her pictures where she then had me settle for a smaller room with 2 queens

When we first arrived, the room given to us was not clean. It had stains on the bed skirt and the floor had not been vacuumed and it was full of stains. We immediately reported it and were given a new room. The employees there did say a few unnecessary things in spanish not knowing that we were fluent in spanish. The new room was cleaner but the shower drain was clogged and the tub would fill up quickly. We did not say anything. We were asked to switch rooms a day later due to a remodel that was in progress. Which I understood the need. The rest of the time everyone was nice and the last room given was decent.

They are remodeling almost everything one of our rooms have a liking on the bathroom can't use the pool also the spa all are filled whit boxes of furniture they need advertising about this on all platforms to making sure don't waste families money and time my kids are so upset about the pool

Very dirty hotel. Room wasn’t cleaned. Breakfast was very poor. Ice machine was gross refused to get ice.

The hotel was being remodeled during my stay, so it was messy from construction supplies. My floor has missing base boards and paint stains on the carpet which isn't bad considering the scale of the work being done. The walls are extremely thin and the bed had no mattress cover or other protection just the fitted sheet. The other amenities like the pool and gym are nice to have and the staff was nice as well.

When we arrived to check in the woman behind the counter was really rude. She was hiding behind the wall and acted like I interrupted whatever she was doing. Everyone else we saw behind the counter was friendly, however, and up front at the actual deak. Breakfast was ok, when we went a lot of stuff was "out" and the TV was kinda loud, but the food was tasty and they even had boiled eggs already peeled.
The towels in our room smelled absolutely noxious, like gasoline. It wasn't until later that we figured out they didn't remove the towels when they painted the bathroom, because they're in the middle of remodeling. But the bed was comfortable and you can set the thermostat and it works. Noise wasn't much of an issue, except for the occasional people in the hallway.
Overall it was ok, they have a pretty good pet policy if you're staying more than overnight, which is why we chose this hotel in the first place. I don't know if I'd stay here again however if I wasn't travelling with my dogs.

Room was not properly supplied. Two guests and the room had 2 bath towels,1 hand towel and 1 wash cloth. All linens were stained. Floors not swept. I understand the building is being remodeled but rooms should still be clean and tidy.

We booked two rooms and they were horrible! Nothing was clean. Curtains, bedding, pillows, bathroom, everything was dirty. Horrible experience. Will never stay here again.

The property was under remodel. Rooms were a mess hallways were a mess outside parking lot was a mess. Construction work going on until 830 or so at night door slamming at all hours from anywhere from 2 o’clock in the morning till 4 o’clock in the morning Would not recommend this at all

looked very nice on the first floor but once we got to our room which was in the 3rd floor it was under construction and lights were dimmed looked and felt so sketchy, no towels in the restroom and can hear conversations from the next room

Honestly I've stayed in worse but the curtains were ripped and wouldn't shut. The breakfast wasn't good. They were working on the hotel while we were there so hopefully it gets better.

The lobby area was dusty, no one at front desk for about 10 minutes. Asked for early check in and rudely advised no room available with out reviewing system. The pool was out of service the reason we choose this hotel when asked front staff was service for a couple hours was advised been out of service for a while.

I had to have an early check-in and staff was very accommodating. The room was worn and not in the best condition but everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. Centrally located and close to shopping and restaurants. Happy with my stay.

I booked a King suite, it did have a King bed but there was nothing "suite" about the room. Go into the bathroom there were big rust spots in toilet bowl that could have been cleaned, the bath tub was brown from not being scrubbed when cleaned, therefore you have dirt and grime upon dirt and grime that after time just set in tub when not cleaned properly. My wife and I both work in the hotel industry(my wife being executive housekeeper). Overall it was terrible! We booked 3 night stay but left a day early.

Curtain had a giant tear so was not able to close and I was on the ground floor. Was also woken up by the police knocking on the door next to my room at 230am. Apparently the place will be renewed soon

This hotel was horrible!!! First off the pool was closed. The whole hotel smelled like paint and paint thinner. There was over spray on all the doorknobs. And carpet. There was mold on the bathroom rail and edges. There was no screen on our third story room. Dogs were barking inside, front desk was notified several times. Microwave didn’t work. Coffee was cold. The worse stay in a long time. No stars!!

I have always been happy with this chain until this stay. The only towel in the bathroom was torn and tattered. There was mildew on the shower curtain. The sheets had mildew spots on the edges. I could see that are updating rooms and hopefully this is just one that has not been done yet.

We stayed at this property because it is Pet Friendly. However, Pet Friendly should not negate having a clean place to stay, especially since these days motels charge extra for pets. We mistakenly assumed these charges would be applied to cleaning. The motel is very, very dirty. Hallways have not been vacuumed or shampooed in a very long time. The Hallway carpets are covered in dried dog urine, dirt and debris. Our room was not any better. We only stayed here because it was a last minute trip to attend a funeral. We had driven 5 hours to make it in time for the funeral. Had to get a room for the night while on the drive. Could not wait to leave this LaQuinta. Hated the fact that our two little dogs had to be on these filthy floors and, of course, ourselves. Will NEVER stay at a LaQuinta EVER again. In the past we always stayed at Pet Friendly LaQuintas and they were always clean and well maintained. Things have changed drastically with this motel chain.

I was so tired to complain .
But they shouldn’t do this to consumers specially with kids
My child couldn’t sleep coughing from this smell of the room .

Check-in was easy but our keycards wouldn't work in the door. We had been driving 9 hours and had to wait for a staff member. She finally came and had to assign us a room on another floor. The rooms on that floor were being painted so we smelled paint all night, and at first the lamps wouldn’t work until staff flipped a breaker back on. The bathroom needs updating and there were other minor issues, but the beds were comfortable and there was a free, full hot breakfast. When renovations are complete it will be much nicer.
