Clean hotel. Nice area. Door had an unusually large crack which was uncomfortable. We filled with a towel. Room was clean overall. Breakfast was included and decent with lots of variety. Lobby warm and inviting. The girl who checked in was very friendly.

This is the newest and nicest of the three motels in West Jefferson. Staff and service were great. A full breakfast was served each morning the two nights we stayed. This is the only motel I will stay in if I go back that way.

Great staff! Enjoyed the breakfast. The entrance off the highway is easy to miss at night and a almost blind curve coming out.

Overall, this is an outstanding property with many amenities. It is clean, superbly maintained, quiet, and has attractive grounds and a great view. The only problems I noted were that the front desk was often unstaffed for extended periods and the staff (especially the males) need a dress and grooming code. Not everyone needs to look like Ken (or Barbie), but some of the men working the desk and kitchen were so slovenly as to undermine the image of the hotel as a classy operation

Conveniently located for my visits to surrounding state parks. Front staff pleasant and welcoming. Complimentary breakfast simple and satisfying. The room offered a fluffy bed if you like a non-firm bed but overall comfortable and supplied well with linens. Could’ve used a once-over ceiling-dusting of corners of room but nothing to stop us from staying again! We definitely will!

This property looks brand new in the photos, and the quoted rate seemed to be reflective of that. I may have been a victim of event pricing as there was a gathering of 450 cyclists in town, but I would not pay this amount again for an aging hotel.

From the very friendly person we checked in with, to the cleanness of the room, comfort of the bed, and the delicious breakfast five stars. My wife and I will stay again.

First room #101 was not so good because of AC unit for building was outside of window . Unit ran continuouslyand was very loud, hard to sleep at night because of it. Room changed next day to #302 which was a wonderful room.
Overall hotel was great, exceptionally clean. Breakfast was great each morning, Like that it was varied, not the same each day. Everyone working in the hotel were very nice. Pool was very clean but chemicals were extremely strong. Best Holiday Inn we've stayed in, would definitely return if in that area again.

The room was clean, but the fan in the bathroom did not work,also the shower did not drain well at all! The drink machine was out of drinks.

After having stayed in the disgusting Days Inn for a night, the Holiday Inn Express was a welcome oasis. The staff were friendly, the room spacious and clean, breakfast was good, and the location was easy for Boone, Blowing Rock, and the Highland Games

This hotel is clean and well kept. The staff appears to be cross trained to help in different areas. They work together well. This was our first time staying at this hotel but we will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area

Overall a great experience. My only complaint would be that the shower was not cleaned very well and had hairs that needed to be washed down. Minor issue. Staff was fantastic.

Motel was dated and needed some updating. Beds were worn out and uncomfortable. Staff was friendly but not very helpful.

Hotel was nice and staff was amazing. Had a door lock issue and the staff was all over it. They got our door open and immediately moved us to another room. Breakfast was simple and tasty. Eggs were not runny and perfectly done.
I will return for another stay.

There were roaches in my co-worker's room, on the converter and on her pillow. When she complained to the front desk, they wanted to debate with her regarding what kind of bugs they were instead of offering to change rooms. They did provide a full cleaning service for the room.

I've stayed at this Holiday Inn Express several times and its been great every time. Really clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

There weren’t many options of hotels to stay in area, so it’s a good one to chose, considering options. Little pricey (240.00) for one night . There is no hot tub, although it’s still in pictures. The shower in room needs repair, and walls are thin. The bed was comfortable. The staff was accommodating.
