Absolutely STUNNING palace with views straight out of the Sound of Music. You truly can’t beat that.
When we visited, the property was undergoing some construction (totally understandable), however the accommodations made around it were not helpful. Difficult path to the check-in that was muddied quite heavily by rain. The staff seemed stressed out, and thus weren’t super helpful.
We stayed in the palace, and while it was absolutely breathtaking and breakfast was AMAZING, our room’s layout was very awkward. That’s the price you pay for staying in such a beautiful, historic property I suppose!

Gorgeous property with fabulous views and an incredible garden. The breakfast was divine and the rooms in the main hotel were nice to explore.

I did not realize until I had gotten there that we were staying at an adjacent addresss , not the original building. It was nice to have some access to the original building when we went for breakfast. There was construction going on near the property on the “mountain side” had I know, I would have selected the lake view. Breakfast was in a beautiful room and had a wide variety of dishes.

The palace was so beautiful! We loved being able to read in the library and eat breakfast in the ballroom.
