I couldnt ask for a better boutique hotel. If i was to add anything it would be an in hour Spa.

We arrived at our room late evening & when we went to bed one side of the bed was sagging. Next morning we told desk staff & gave permission for them to enter the room while we were out. When we returned at 4pm nothing had been done. At 5 they came to examine bed & discovered one side of bed was busted. When they removed the mattress pad there was a huge stain on it. Bed & mattress were replaced. We spoke to manager & asked for a refund for one night as we thought this was a fair request. He informed us he had to speak to his supervisor. Came back & offered to move us to another room. As we only had another two nights we said seeing that the bed had been replaced we’d just stay but would like a refund. This was refused & we were offer a cocktail & a free lunch buffet. Not sure why they refused a refund. We could see that the manager had to do what his supervisor had told him. The staff were very friendly & helpful but the fact that the bed was broken & the mattress stained really put a damper on our stay. Restaurant & pool we’re very clean & well maintained

This hotel was fine. The food was decent. The bed was comfortable. I was disappointed because this was nearly double the price of the other hotels I stayed in during my visit, but it was the lowest quality.

Not so great stay with an AC unit that didn't work (and that the hotel didn't fix), uncomfortable beds, and bathrooms that smelled of sewage.

The heated pool was excellent, and next to the bar and restaurant. Very relaxing atmosphere within the hotel. Excellent jump-off point for exploring San Jose. Uber rides were plentiful. Parking on-site was a bonus as there is very little parking in San Jose.

I had requested an upgraded room prior to arrival and was not impressed with the manageress attitude when i sought clarity on a few points on payment. I upgraded to an apartment for 4 people. The apartment was set up for 2 people and when we asked for glasses cups bottled water for 4 people we were told that water was complimentary and thats all we were getting. I went directly to the restuarant and acquired 2 extra glasses from staff. We were also told pool had heated water but this was not the case. Reception Staff not very helpful or accomodating. Very disappointed as this was our last night in Costa rica with my daughter and her partner who were continuing with their travels around Central.

The outside of the building is nice but the inside was something I didn’t imagine at all! It’s gorgeous! Rooms are big, bathroom is average size to America. The breakfast was delicious! and it was all free as much as you wanted! Juice was made fresh each time! I will definitely stay again, again and again!!

Only stayed one night, but wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Reception was efficient and friendly. The pool (hot water) in the inner courtyard was nice to look at while having a bite to eat on the restaurant/bar. Food was good. My room was more updated than my friend’s but both were large with comfy king beds. Really good value for price paid!

At least the room that was assigned to us was not as modern or as pretty as we expected it to be, we noticed that near the pool area the rooms were prettier than our room, however breakfast was really good, the common areas are to die for!

Good quality place to stay wether beginning or ending your trip to C.R. They have upgraded many of the rooms and the property is very clean. It’s always a pleasure to stay here when visiting.

KC Hotel is a little hidden gem. It's small, quiet and has everything one needs while staying in the city. Front desk staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Restaurant serves great food. My only complaint is housekeeping. The process is very slow, they wouldn't get to my room till late afternoon even when there weren't many guests. Would be nice if they attended to my room while I was at breakfast as I stayed multiple nights.

We booked 1 night to get some sleep closer to the airport before an early-morning flight. We were expecting a comfortable bed and a decent shower. The shower was disappointing since the water pressure was not acceptable. Hot water took at least 5 minutes and a visit from the maintenance personnel to finally come out warm.
Service was great, the staff was really friendly, they were pleasing every step of the way, and provided very clear information. The room was very clean. Sheets and pillows were top quality and the beds were comfortable. I would say they were double beds, I wouldn't call them Queen-sized beds. Either way, we got a good night (hours) sleep. We got no noise from the neighbors and enjoyed our black-out drapes. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay or for a night in San José in between Beach tours.

I have been staying at this hotel for years when I come visit Costa Rica. The manager always remembers me and is very attentive. She is the one who worked the afternoon shift till ten pm.
