Very helpful and wonderful staff

The staff is excellent, everyone helped us, specially Brian and Ding. We spent two nights but we'll come back. They organized a tour to Sapa for us and they were helpful in every aspect

Are very friendly and accommodating. For Southeast Asia the rooms are very very large. A great place to stay in a great location.

Horror hotel

The breakfast buffet was a delight, the food fresh and tasty. A good variety from fresh fruits, egg omelet, bacon, pork balls, mixed vegetables Vietnamese style and delicious plus ordered chicken or beef soup. Superb coffee Vietnamese style.

Cleanliness of bathroom and shower room is not good. Too weak water pressure in the shower.

Although hotel room was adequate for our stay as we weren't in the room that long & didn't require much; the photos on the booking looked a lot different to what we had. Hotel staff were lovely & attentive. Location makes it walking distance to most old town sights.

We love Splendid Star, we came back twice in one trip! Mr Harry and his team are all super friendly and helpful. A highly recommended place to stay in Old Quarter.

The hotel markets itself as a 4 star hotel but it’s really a 2-3 star hotel. It is so old and dirty. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and I had to wear shower shoes. The room had a werid smell. The pictures of the hotel does not look like the room at all. NOT EVEN CLOSE. the carpet was old and smelly. They had some stains on the wall. My faucet would leak when I would turn it on. The shower head was broken. I asked for half refund but they wouldn’t allow it. We finally got a new room the next day and it was BARELY BETTER. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Nice location with very friendly staff. The room was a bit dusty and the church nearby was very noisy due to the bells ringing regularly. It’s a good place to stay for a short visit.

Staff were great. Breakfast had a good tasty selection. Went of the recommended Ha Long Bay boat trip which was well worth it. Wifi access intermittent in the room but hey, you don’t go to Vietnam to surf the web. You can do that at home. Overall, for the price, friendliness, location, this place is excellent value for money.

The hotel staff were fabulous. They were friendly, kind, loved our kids, and helpful! The hotel was in a wonderful location and it was so easy to navigate.

It is very misleading to have the word spa next to the name of the hotel!

Right in the heart of the French Quarter. Very convenient to walk to the night markets. Hotel is on a side street so it is very quiet at night. Customer service was excellent. You can book all kinds of tours from the hotel. We booked our luxury tour to Ha Long bay there.

Great stay

It’s in a great location to access the old quarter and Hoan Kiem lake and great street food.

We had a great stay at the Splendid Grand. The best part was the wonderful service, great breakfast each morning and awesome location in Hanoi’s old quarter

Hotel staff was extremely hospitable, everyone was so nice and even gave me good recommendations for food and sightseeing in the area. Hotel was clean and located in a very nice area, convenient for walking to attractions.

The hotel is right for the price. The only setback is its location. A challenge especially when weather is bad.

We enjoyed our stay at the Splendid Hotel. The room was clean and the staff were very accommodating. Mr. Harry helped us with setting up transportation and tours for the sites we wanted to see. He also helped us with transportation to our previously reserved hotel in SaPa including tours and meals through his partner hotel (Golden Villa SaPa). He set up a driver to pick us up and return us to our hotel daily in SaPa for breakfast and lunch and tour guides came to our hotel to take us on our trekking tours. We didn't have to worry about a thing! Mr. Harry was an integral part of making our trip to Hanoi and SaPa very memorable! Our room was overlooking an alley road and the view was of buildings, but we had a great view of St Joseph Cathedral! Be warned that the bells from the cathedral are loud and ring very early in the morning. We didn't mind them, but some might not want there sleep interrupted. I actually got up early and sat out on the balcony waiting to hear them! The balcony is very small, but it was nice to have one. Breakfast was served daily and had a nice variety of choices each day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi.

Ding Dong is the bestselling

It’s hidden away in an alley but it is in a convenient area

This hotel gives great value for the money! Very budget friendly but the staff was amazing! Mr Dong is full of energy and ready to meet your every accommodations. We were here visiting for our Anniversary and Mr Dong made sure we felt special! He he personally came out to talk to the taxi driver after the previous to drivers came and left because we had so much luggage! The whole staff is amazing! Mr Dong also got us on a tour after it had started we are so grateful for everything!
