No blankets in room and the deadbolt lock doesn’t work properly

I have to say this place was not what I was imagining when we booked at the price we paid. The Motel had that old Motel smell when you walked into the lobby. Pets are allowed and I am fine with that, but the couple next door their dog barked for 5 hours straight, the people staying allowed their dogs to do their business on the area where the grills and swings were and did not pick up, and management did not make them. The front door had a crack on the side that you could see daylight through. This room itself was not too bad, but very small and not enough lighting. Bathroom had a sink and no room to put anything to get ready with. The rooms were smoke free however, the maid was walking around going into room with a cigarette, and then when we needed her, she was not to be found. Overall I was not satisfied with this room, my wife and I got up and left around 8 when checkout was 11, just couldn't take anymore

We stayed previously and they have refurbished since our last stay. Nice, clean and you park close to your room. The beach is only steps away. Staff is quiet and does not bother you. We will be back .

Absolute love this place. The great service, pool, proximity to the beach. The rooms are clean, tv's actually work and there's cute retro touches. Sitting in the chairs outside our door at dusk is my idea of heaven. I would definitely come here again and again.

Easy Access to the beach. Small but clean room with updated decor. Coldest fridge ever! The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Great private pool area. Thanks to Jim and the staff for a great stay at Nags Head Beach!

They were having pool problems, so we couldnt swim.

Really nice property. Quiet and well renovated. The only thing is that we did find her bugs in our hotel room.

Nice place on the water. A little expensive, but being a last minute reservation we were willing to pay it. Coffee pot was missing a vital piece to make coffee. Had to wait till we left to get coffee. Beach was wonderful right outside the back door. Our next door neighbors were great, we sat out back playing guitar and singing with them. Felt family and friend friendly!

Perfect location, friendly staff, and comfy beds! We stayed in one of the side rooms, not directly oceanfront but it’s just a short walk through parking lot to be oceanfront. Rooms are kind of small but comfy. I enjoyed the adirondack chairs outside of each room to sit in as well. Definitely will look into staying here again in the future.

Room was clean and adorable! Pool was awesome. Loved layout of the building and surroundings - ease of getting around. Staff was superb! We will be back

There is a hole in the driveway area at road that needs to be filled in. People need to keep their dogs on leashes. Overall the stay was nice.

I cannot say enough about this hidden gem! Dolphin motel is on the ocean, so no need to worry about finding parking or bathrooms when heading to the beach. Room is clean and quaint- perfect for a beach weekend vacation. Very laid back and low maintenance vibe. We have two small children so going out to eat is a headache. Thankfully there are picnic tables outside of the rooms where we enjoyed takeout stress-free! Pet friendly-our kids loved seeing all the dogs. Walking distance to restaurants and market. The staff is so friendly and accommodating- we felt like family! Dolphin motel is our go-to spot for our outer banks adventures and we can’t wait to go back 😀

Great location right on the beach. Room was clean and big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Jim checked us in and out and was very helpful when a situation arose. I would highly recommend staying here.

Very small room. No iron or ironing board in room. (Requested and received iron from front desk). No daily room service offered. Quite expensive (~$200 per night)

Great place, limited parking.

Didn’t like the smoking next to building and cig butts in parking lot.
