A beautiful historic property facing the lake. Charming decor. Conveniently located and walkable to the downtown and theatre. Breakfast was fantastic. The room was comfortable and spacious. Excellent experience.

Beautiful old property with lots of history. Staff were great and the breakfast was very good. Buyer beware - the bed seems to be as old as the house. An upgrade on sleeping arrangements is very much needed. Otherwise- very good!

Pros: Staff at check in was friendly. Common area to share with other guests was great for us as a group that stayed there. Very conveniently located for our purposes. Easy access coffee station was a nice touch. Cons: They called me the day before telling me they double booked our king bed room and we're being downgraded to a queen. Everything in the room rattled quite a bit just walking around. The (smaller) bed wasn't particularly comfortable. After confirming early check in would be provided for us our accommodation wasn't ready for our arrival. The other reviews particularly raved about the breakfast but it was pleasantly average. We were specifically told to put special requests on our menu form (ex. Add side of bacon) and they were not provided. Overall decent stay with a great location but some technical difficulties would have me not desperate to return again

Our room was perfect, they common areas were cozy and homey and the staff we interacted with were incredibly friendly and helpful. Will stay here again! Also, breakfast was excellent!

Great location within easy walking distance to the lake, shops, and restaurants in a quiet neighborhood perfect for sitting on the front porch, or courtyard, in the evening with a glass of wine. The inside is very well kept and the room was well prepared and quiet. Breakfast was made fresh with a nice choice of options. My only negative is the exterior of the property needs some TLC, however, those concerns aren't extreme.

Property is really well kept. Staff is very friendly and accessible if any questions are needed to be answered.

We loved the place. Great breakfast, easy check in. Parking. Super friendly staff. Lovely building with antiques and art. Close to everything we needed... Affordable for the area. We really enjoyed sitting on the front deck with the view of the lake and the fort. We enjoyed drinks there and played cards and board games.

Setting, service and food!

We were very disappointed overall. We were in the Cedar room. The staff were fine, but the room itself was not value for money. It was small, cold and musty, one chair only which was uncomfortable, the bathroom door stuck and nearly hit us in the face, the towels were very small and thin. The parking was very tight and we had to park on the street 2 of the 3 nights.

Usually, breakfasts at B and Bs add to the enjoyment of one’s stay. Breakfast both mornings of our visit was disappointing. Tired food left too long on a warming tray; watery Canadian bacon; English muffin so tough; cold oatmeal. The whole experience was off-putting. Top price for a room (River Room) were it is quite difficult to use the toilet, which is on a strangely-raised platform. Very clean room and bath. When we inquired about Wi-Fi, we were told the password was in the room. It was not, and by the time re realized it, the staff had left for the night. We will not return to The Old Bank House.

We had stayed there about 15 years ago and were hesitant to try it again. We’re so glad we did! Jessica greeted us with a very welcoming tour and took good care of us at breakfast the next day. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable as was the whole house. Breakfast was wonderful and relaxing. The location is perfect! We won’t wait or hesitate to be back!

What a beautiful room, house, view, and weekend we had. The staff was outstanding and very understanding to our late check in needs. We’ll definitely return to the Old Bank House.

We liked the location and view of the lake. The property has an old world charm on the exterior but is quite run down. Our room was spartan but clean. However it was cold with no way to adjust the temperature and we saw ants. The towels were skimpy and either torn or stained. We had to wait one hour for our breakfast on our checkout morning. So sorry to report unfavorably but the owner must really take more interest in his property

We loved our stay at The Old Bank B&B! Our room was huge. The house was built in 1817 and was originally a bank. Breakfast was yummy. We had a choice of four different breakfasts. The avocado toast was divine. The B&B overlooked a park and the Niagara River.

The B&B was located less than ten minutes walk from the historic downtown and the lake. The Cedar room slept three people with it's own bathroom and a little balcony to sit out on. You got to preselect your breakfast from a sheet of options - all were very tasty. Staff were extremely friendly. Loved the beverage set-up on the second floor - Keurig, water cooler, small freezer with icetrays, and a fridge for the floor to use. Highly recommend it!

The Ol d Bank House is a comfortable and convient B and B. The breakfasts and service were wonderful. The rtoom was clean but the bathroom could have used a wipe down of the baseboards and new towels. The windolws were full of bugs and cob webs -- as long as you didn't open them, they weren't a problem -- if you did, they were nasty. The porch needed to be hosed to wash away the webs and bugs. Comfortable bed, nice bed linens. Coffee upstairs needs to be checked at night for cups and cream so that it's ready for the morning. Gracious staff and overall just fine. The view of the river can't be beat!

The Rose room was large and comfy. One of the beds has quite a squeak! Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Good location. Beautiful black and white photographs throughout the building.

Our stay (in the Rose Room) was pure pleasure from the moment we arrived (early). Lucky to get one of the few parking spaces, right by the entrance. Greeted by a young woman who took us on a tour of the house including a large living room with leather sofas antiques, and an incredible collection of all sorts of cameras and other photographic equipment the owner has collected over the years, along with a house full of large beautiful B&W photographs also taken by the owner - a true museum AND art gallery! And breakfast (choices made the night before) lived up to that same quality. A short walk through a bloc-deep park to the (stone) beach - people were in the water - and about 3 blocks to the heart of downtown (Queen St) right where it starts. Start planning and book it now, you don't want to miss this gem.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable. The grounds of the property are neglected. At the rate charged for the room we expected more. It just seems that someone's taken their eye off the ball with this one but it has so much potential.

Loved staying here. It was our first time staying at a b&b and it was a great experience. Jessica was so kind in greeting us and made sure to give us a tour of the place. Our room was spacious and clean! The place has everything you need (including wine glasses and an opener ;) ). There is limited parking however that’s no problem because there is ample paid parking and they will reimburse you no problem. Breakfast was simple but great! We sat outside and enjoyed the view. Nothing but great things to say!

We had a lovely room in a beautiful old Georgian house with lots of interesting artifacts. The service was friendly and efficient. I would love to go back some day.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back! It was truly a beautiful spot that was extra convenient for walking along the main street but also with a stunning waterfront view. The pricing is extremely reasonable for how gorgeous the stay and everything about it is. We were thoroughly impressed!
