A good stay with the exception of now again for the 2nd 4-night stay, no housekeeping services at all. Staff generally helpful and polite, breakfast a bit better than average

Beware when you opt to pay later. They canceled my room when I was driving from another state. Called after 6pm, didn’t leave a message. I had to call back when I noticed a call while driving with bad reception. Then the operator was extremely uncaring and unhelpful. Seemed really cold and like he enjoyed delivering the news.

I had to stay here for my best friend's wedding. It was easy to get to from the bus stop. Had a little mishap and the person on staff made me feel that this situation would be handled. Would highly recommend.

Shower looks clean but is worn and caulking is cracking. Same with grout in bathroom and kitchen area. Does not seem to be well maintained.

We were truly amazed by the beauty of the hotel. The breakfast was wonderful , the breakfast or dining area was spacious and clean along with several food options. Our room was spacious and had all kinds of extras like a countertop stoves , dishwasher and s big flat screen tv ! We will be back !

arrived and check in was good, room was very nice, but tv didn't work so they moved us to another room which ended up a wonderful, wonderful stay. very clean , free breakfast, staff very pleasant, pet friendly, lots to do, beautiful building. I would recommend this place when visiting west virginia.

Evening staff person was super nice and upgraded our room when we asked to be moved from a room close to the dining room. It was no problem and she was happy to change our room. She was pleasant and sweet. Food was not bad and had quite a few selections. Would definitely stay again.

Hawthorn Suites is nice and clean. Beds are comfy and the breakfast is really good. Definitely will return.

The check in staff was wonderful. She was so pleasant and went above and beyond to see that we were taken care of. Just because of her we will always choose this place when in the area!

On Sunday morning we put our towels outside of the door, but didn't get new towels. That night we went down to the front desk and we were told "For future reference you need to bring your towels down to the front desk and we will give you more." I was told on my arrival that the hotel was having staffing problems with housekeepers. I understand that, but being told to bring your towels down before I get more is not acceptable. Otherwise, I really like the hotel, breakfast and most of the clerks at the desk.

The kitchenette was an added bonus, we arrived late and made cup noodles, staff was very helpful with getting hot water for us. Breakfast was plentiful the next morning, didn't have to fight for our food, they were prepared as the hotel was fully booked. I would definitely come back if we pass through the area again.

We were just in for a quick overnight stay but the room was clean and very nice. The bed was comfortable and the staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend this one. Before booking we checked reviews of several hotels in the area and are happy we settled on this one!

In this part of WV (Bridgeport / Clarkesburg) where we've often stopped over on our way home to Canada from SC, there are a number of nice hotels in the surrounding areas. We've stayed at quite a few (Holiday Inn, Microtel, Wingate, Spring Hill, Hampton Inn) over the years. This was the first time we stayed at the Hawthorne Suites hotel and we were pleasantly surprised, or should i say, blown away. The place was absolutely perfect in every way - check-in, amenities, and especially the suite we were given. Everything in th room was perfect. The room included 2 queen beds, gorgeous sleeper sofa, kitchenette (which incl. a full size fridge, f/s microwave, twin burner induction stovetop, pots and pans, dishware, cutlery, etc.) - basically everything needed for an extended stay. And to top it all, much less in price than any of the hotels I mentioned above. Also the bathroom was immaculate and modern. Well done Hawthorne Suites! I will definitely be on the lookout for your brand whenever traveling throughout the US, and I will also be recommending this particular hotel to friends and family. A true hidden gem! Thank you for a great overnight stay! Keep up the good work.

I would rate this property excellent except for the fact that our first floor room had a shower without a complete door and thus it was impossible to keep shower water from reaching the bathroom floor outside the shower. We had to use towels to mop up the water which escaped the shower, despite our efforts.

Very clean

I went to check in at 3:05 PM and was told my room was not cleaned yet. The head of the cleaning department went to clean my room and came back 10 minutes later. My room was not cleaned properly. There were potato chips in the chase lounge and fingernail clippings behind it as well. Also there was dust all over the picture on the wall. Garbage is under the dishwasher. I was happy with my stay at all.

Having a full kitchen, clean, comfortable rooms with amazing beds was way beyond my expectations. Stuff was extremely friendly. The location was wonderful. Really enjoyed our stay here.

It was easy to find and close to dining options. Very pleased with the room.
