We traveled all the way from the United States for a very special occasion — our daughter's engagement at Chatsworth House — and The Pilsley Inn made the trip even more memorable. What a find!
The rooms were spacious, beautifully charming, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely too, a great way to start each morning. But what really won us over was the location: just a short distance from Chatsworth Estate, which was essential for us since we don't drive in the UK.
We actually spent our first few nights at The Cavendish Hotel on the estate itself, which came with high expectations — but honestly, The Pilsley Inn impressed us more, and at a better price point. It had warmth and character that felt genuinely special rather than just luxurious.
We've already decided that Chatsworth will become a regular travel destination for our family, and The Pilsley Inn will absolutely be our home base every time. Highly recommend to any Americans visiting this stunning part of the English countryside!

This was hands down the friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and cheery. They made us feel at home and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The wait staff was exceptional as well. The food was excellent, the setting idyllic, and location walkable to The Chatsworth House! We could not wait to write a glowing review as we cannot recommend this hotel enough! We suggest you give your entire staff a raise as they were top notch and whoever hired them should be given a medal:)

I am so happy we stayed at the Pilsley Inn. It is located in a lovely little village just outside of Chatsworth House. I felt like I had stepped back in time. We only stayed one night as our itinerary was very full, but I would definitely recommend this Inn. the people were friendly, and it was a perfect stay for my English holiday!

Our room was beautiful - the bathroom was great. Awesome shower. The food in the pub was excellent and so was the service. Great place to stay would highly recommend it
