Host was great. Beautiful historic hotel

We loved the service, hot tub, breakfast, quite! Wish there was an ice machine and or in room fridge. Also the comforter on the bed was way too hot.

This is a small bed and breakfast that was built in 1898 (I believe that is what he said) and it has all the charm with its old fashioned furniture. The innkeeper was courteous and very sweet, showing me around despite it being fairly late at night. I would come again just to have the ambience. I took the third floor which was a floor all to myself.

We really enjoyed the history and coziness of the home. It felt like a home away from home.

Cute B&B, great service and extremely friendly. Mocha the golden retriever was marvelous as a co host.

We had a cozy stay with Alma House for four nights. Our room was clean and comfortable. The house is full of historic decorations and has a unique character. Breakfast is served every morning and it was an absolute pleasure to talk to Matt. Will come back and visit again!

A 124 year old Hotel, nicely preserved 19rh century charm. Very clean and maintained. Modern amenities are covered. Bathrooms are nice with some artful touches. Hot water with plentiful pressure was an unexpected surprise. The hotel looks 19th century buy looks are deceiving. Try the Alma Hotel, it’s a surprise !

Matt is extremely personable and spent some time with us at check-in talking about some of the history of Silverton and the Alma House itself. Super cool. But, the rest of the experience wasn't so great; the bed was pretty soft, the bathroom is pretty small, and breakfast the next morning was a slightly warmed half a waffle, scrambled eggs (ok), and a tiny amount of fruit. Also, the coffee was not good at all. But it was very quiet at night, no issues there at all.

Beautiful, historic and well maintained, The Alma House Inn had everything we needed. All the staff and owners were welcoming. A must stay for your stop in Silverton!

Really nice owners. Interesting house that felt very comfortable and had a hot tub and bikes to use. Close to center of town. What’s not to like? I’d stay there again.

This property was very nostalgic feeling. The Host/Hostess are owners and make you feel very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked and looked very delicious. Silverton is a great town and rolls up the sidewalks at 7pm which makes it very quiet. It bustles bright and early though. The Alpine loop starts from a gorgeous trail right out of Silverton.

Old historic style B&B. Basic needs sort of place. Very nice patio and backyard setting. Loved the breakfast. Room was a little hot and stuffy. Would have liked to have dry bath robes, which makes me think they were not cleaned for the new guests. Room doors are old, loud and creaky, which seemed to wake me up and did not shut well.

The outdoor garden was lovely. The historic features of the Inn were preserved which was nice to see. Matt, the owner showed interest in the guests and we had some very nice chats - that was great. The breakfast did not meet our expectations as it was not at the level of the rest of the amenities.

This place was like walking back in time to the late 1800’s. The owners were amazing people and spent time talking with us and walked us through all they had to offer. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Silverton.

We stayed here for a night in Silverton. The rooms have many luxury details that made you feel special. The atmosphere was very laid back and welcoming. The back yard area is a beautiful garden. Breakfast is a real treat and yummy. Everything about the house makes you feel special. Our hosts were very attentive and knowledgeable about the area. Strongly you stay here. This was such a cute little B&B! Matt was a great host and made sure we were well taken care of. The backyard area was perfect for relaxing in any temp with its hot tub and fire pit. The location is perfect for walking around the town.

We had a wonderful stay after 2 nights of camping. It was a needed restful night. It’s a bed and breakfast that has been continuously operating for more than 100 years! You don’t get this type of accommodations anywhere. So much character! It was also very comfortable.

Alma house is amazing. We spent 3 nights there while exploring Durango and Mesa Verde. Matt and Mickey provide the perfect atmosphere for visitors. They are warm and welcoming and offered great tips for the surrounding areas of interest. Can’t wait to go back and visit again!

The Alma House is absolutely wonderful its a step back in time to simpler times. Its a beautiful bed in breakfast with wonderful hosts and comfy beds. Breakfast was great. I want to stay there again.

The old 1890 hotel is very unique and the new owners take pride in sharing a bit of it's history.

Historic hotel for miners years ago. It is beautifully decorated and in a great location. The owners were wonderful hosts, breakfast was great, bikes available to ride around the quaint town of Silverton, and a hot tub is available too. We also took a jeep tour which the owner offers to his guests which was very worth while (extra fee of course). We really enjoyed our stay! We would definitely stay here again!

I cannot say enough good things about Alma house. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, the bed was comfortable beyond words, the decor was historical and beautiful. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. There was a fire pit outside that the owners light when guests were interested. Hot tub there too. You can walk to anything kn town from this location. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Matt & Mikki and their pups are amazing and made our stay just brillant. It was so cool staying in a bed & breakfast from 1893. The beds were so comfy and the hosts tried to get make out stay one to remember. Thank you again.
