This is a 1898 hotel in the San Juan mountains old mining country. Most unique hotel we have ever stayed in the US, England, Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico. All the bedrooms represent the turn of the century with meticulous care by the owners Matt and his wife. Expect a hearty and warm welcome by Matt when you arrive. This is an excellent choice for your lodging in a wonderful hotel and town.

This is a unique hotel in a unique Western mining town. One feels they are entering the early days of America. The Alma House is an early nineteenth century home decorated for the time period. Every room is a statement of itself. The owners help one to feel welcome into this exceptional environment.

Wow - just WOW!! The Alma House Inn was excellent in all aspects. The owners are awesome, very helpful and friendly, and the Inn is beautiful, comfortable and historic. Our room was wonderful and the grounds of the Inn are so dang nice - the private shaded/landscaped courtyard makes you want to stay an extra day just to hang out, read a book, enjoy the hot tub (which we used), and a glass (or 3) of wine while sitting in the sofas at the fire pit (which we did). And the home made breakfast in the morning is really nice which we didn't even know about and loved.

This is really a bed and breakfast. It had a great outdoor space with a lawn and hot tub. It even had bikes to ride around town on. Great historical building. The owner was helpful and we had a good time talking with him. The breakfast was amazing!
